Good Times

Ok so we are about to go to college now, and it is the time to reflect. Lately I have been thinking about the good ol' times in Conyers. Being called mosquito bites for my small breasts in 7th grade, and nearly flushing my Easter Sunday dress down the toilet in pre-school.... *sigh* what pleasant times. Out of all the eventful years of education, there is only one thing that I truly miss, NAP TIME. Yes kindergarten was a rough time for us all. Aside from being thrown up on, having a girl blow her nose in my shirt, and peeing in my nap sack on numerous occasions, naptime was the most glorious time of all. I played around all day, and was rewarded with an hour nap. Now why can't adults get naps? I work 70 hours a week...wouldn't a 30 minute nap be expected? Ok so I was furious about this napping situation, and I took matters into my own hands. I get an hour lunch break at this law office. I usually try to squeeze in about 30 minutes to eat and 30 minutes to sleep in my car. This was a solid plan until my boss saw me snoozing, and a security guard knocked on my window to see if I was alive. Oh well.....off to plan 2. Well I haven't figured that out yet, but when I do I'll get back to you!
Ok so I have a little bit of a dilemma. This law office pays 8.50 an hour. Most receptionists get at least 10. I wasn't looking for another job, it just kind of fell into my lap. Another law office is interested in someone for a short period of time. Perfect for me, because I will only be here for another 5 months. The pay starts at 10. The job is much closer to my home and the restaurant that I work at in the evenings. I would be working as a legal assistant rather than a receptionist, so I could get more exposure to the actual field and have more assignments. Those are all pros! The only problem is that my current boss is my best friend's father. I don't want to betray him by leaving, because his family is very close to me. He also offered a .50 cent raise for now, and possibly another raise in August. I know for a fact that I would never get over 10 an hour here, and probably not at the other office because I will only be there for 5 months. I think I am going to leave though....and I have to put in my notice today.
Is this a mistake?
