I started the day off with watering my garden--my hydrangeas are really beginning to bloom, which is a sure sign that summer's here.
Other things accomplished today included picking up a couple of t-shirts on sale, getting a new pair of white shorts, and some rose food for my trellis rose.
I'm trying to decide if I want to go to the grocery store now, or just go tomorrow after church to get fixings for the rest of the weekend. What to get--hot dogs or burgers? Potato salad or slaw? Cookies or brownies?
I know one thing for certain: I will be watching the Memorial Day Tribute aired Sunday night at 7 on PBS; I never miss it, and always think of my dad and his service to our country during WWII.
Tomorrow's Pentecost--so will be wearing a red top and a denim skirt to church; afterwards, whether I go to the grocery or not, I'm taking flowers to the cemetery. Mom's bday was Thursday, and I worked till almost 8 PM that night, so I didn't get out there with a bouquet.
Hope all of you have happy Memorial Day weekends, and remember the meaning of the day.
