Thank you.

Sincerest thank-yous to everyone who commented on my last post. It's still hard to believe that Myrrhmur is gone, but instead of focusing on her absence, I'm trying to focus on what a blessing it was to have her in my life, even for a little while. She'll never be forgotten.

I drove Raun to the airport at 5:30 this morning. Ungh. I went back to bed and didn't get up until 1 pm. Despite the toll on my energy, we had a fantastic visit. Tuesday we went up to Asheville and pooted around. Lots of cool places to browse and pass the time. That night we drove down to Charleston; spent Wednesday there with Lauren. We went to one of my all-time favorite thrift stores, where I found the most incredible 80's windbreaker I have ever seen. It has tearaway sleeves and the front buttons up military-style. We really did a lot of awesome thrifting this week. Anyway, back to Charleston...we made delicious pasta for dinner, then Lauren took us to a couple of her favorite dives. Connect Four and silly pictures and much beer ensued.
Yesterday we made it back to Greenville just in time for me to go to work. Raun kept me company. It was a slow, slow night. The slowest night we've had since I've worked there. Blah.
Last night we cuddled and watched "Say Anything" until it was time for bed. And now he's back in Chicago, sigh. I'm definitely going for a visit in January.

We decided to go back to girlfriend/boyfriend status. If I'm going to move to Chicago to be with him, we both know it's not for a few months, or even for year. This is serious business, long haul, rest of our lives kind of stuff. We both need to be reassured that we are truly dedicated to the cause. I honestly don't have any doubts, but I definitely feel better knowing exactly where we stand.
