This may seem like a really stupid reason to post for the first time in a few months, but I'm very bitter and angry. Why is it that when I move to a place it sets a record for rainfall? Yes, after .44 inches of rain on Wednesday, this is officially the wettest November on record for Seattle. And we're on pace to "shatter" the previous record for rainiest month on record. I'm having to dig way in the back of my closet for dry shoes. And my dad always mocked me for having so many. Anyway, I'm going to Albuquerque next week, where there is apparently sun, but you know what happened last time I went there...
On a side note, in case any of you were considering grad school, I say don't. I'm not sure what it is, the workload, the lack of respect, the prospect of working really hard and still not being able to make any money, but grad students are the angriest people that I have ever encountered. We seem to be really bitter and utterly without hope. I'm working on a plan to avoid this fate, but it includes NEVER getting a PhD. Especially in English-DON'T GET A PHD IN ENGLISH. Just saying...
