It's not me that's dead.

I'm beginning to think there's no help for XP anymore. I have not one, but TWO computers, both of which were protected by McAfee, that are basically defunct after they were hit by viruses from different sources that both attacked the Windows program itself. (One my brother loaded Windows 7 beta onto, and the beta is over, so it's stuck until I get a licensed copy; and the other will only run in safemode.) I'm basically computerless, since the modem doesn't work on my laptop.  (True, I bought that on a fantasmical sale for the purpose of word processing, but COME ON already!) Right now I'm borrowing mom's comp while she's cleaning cages.

Until Windows 7 comes out, I'm going to remain scarce. Unfortunately, the laptop has PLENTY of memory for wordprocessing, but not a decent enough processor OR enough RAM to do well at gaming, so without even that outlet to lure my muses out of hiding, I'm not getting much writing done, either. ~_~

Hope to see my old friends (and my muses) sometime in November! I'll be going away the last week of October, so won't be able to even THINK about Windows 7 before then... possibly not even until January, depending on how much (that is, little) money I have afterward.

After that I'll have at least one computer working again, thank goodness.  Hope against hope that I can get Windows 7 to load on a comp running on XP safemode...
