I live. Honest. Sorta.

Cannot say anything noteworthy has happened in my life since my last post.  Work is about the same, life outside work even less changed.  I'm so boring ^-^;; Story inspiration has been particularly and painfully lacking in the past year or more.  That, I think, is the hardest part of the monotony.  I used to count on my imagination to improve my otherwise very dull life, but that hasn't been a very good friend to me.

I think part of the lack is that I don't read near as much as I used to.  This theory bears weight, considering a brainstorm hit me on a project that HASN'T been archived, while reading the first of three books N sent me.  Thank you N-san!!! Admittedly the brainstorm ties older work, already far too crossed-over, with something initially and entirely parallel, but it's too fun an inside joke to write off just yet.

Here I'll only say it explains one of the main characters' unusual hair color, and introduced a rather mundane word as an alternate to "witch" or "bitch" as a feminine derogative, when the main characters are all witches.

That's pretty much it as it is.... pretty sad.  But my heart still beats, my lungs still breathe, and my body still lugs itself to work five days a week.  The spring season of rabbit showing is over, and I did crappy.  Trying to change a few things around the rabbitry to see if it can improve the condition of my stock, which was regularly grungy-looking the whole season.  Now if we can just get some NICE (i.e., not too hot and humid OR having a strong possibilty of downpours) weather, I can try to option of putting my show rabbits outside for the day.  Until then, I've reduced their feed from the high-end protein-rich stuff to the regular level, fiber-rich stuff and increased their hay, as one of the main things my competition does differently from me.  We'll see how well that works next season.

My icons definitely need updating.  Did one so far, my favorite road sign I've passed a dozen times or more in my cross-PA road trips.  Last year I pulled over to finally snap a shot.  Off the top of my head, I don't recall if there's a "Mile Run, 1 Mile" sign.

Going to a coworker's housewarming in about an hour.  Will be nice to get out of the house without Mom for a change.  She tried to invite herself.... good grief.  This will be the first thing I've done without her in far too long to be healthy.  I'm a homebody, and since she's been ill she's become a recluse, rarely leaving the house except for errands on weekends and a bi-weekly trip to the library for new reading material when it's quiet. (She works from home and reads in the times it's quiet.)

We might be going to the drive-in tonight for Toy Story 3, but that will depend on how the weather holds.
