It's also a month overdue, but as promised...
This was the back of my head (and my back) the Tuesday before Mother's Day...
....and the back of my head the Friday before, while Mom was at a bunny show and after I'd taken a sick bunny to the vet.
Mom was of course thrilled, as she's tried to convince me to cut my hair for over two years now. I'm still getting used to it... sometimes it looks disturbingly close to a pageboy cut instead of a bob, but generally it behaves all right (excluding that sharp point it comes to at the ends, which it was already doing when this photo was taken; darned thing turns up at the ends all by itself!). It took me at least six years to grow it out - well over a year was spent growing out the random layers of my previous haircuts, in which I got the back shaved short, and the top hand-razored into a more natural thickness than my hair actually grows.
This post includes a guest appearance from my dearest of treasures, the FujiFilm FinePix S5000. The only notable complaint I've had in my relationship with my FinePix is that the lens cap broke within a week of getting it. Grr. I only note now that in each picture I was holding it in different directions. The first picture shows the direction I normally turn it.
