If anyone had asked me a week ago if I thought Jenny Calender would be in my home after I rescued her from an evil vicious vampire I would have thought they had gone mad. Just hours ago I did just that. I braved the most vicious vampire of all time to save the woman I love without a second thought and I lived to tell about it. I look at my situation and am dumbfounded.

The odd thing though is what has me so shocked. It isn't that I risked life and limb to save Jenny, no, it is that Jenny is the woman I love and I can actually picture spending the rest of my days with her. The only thing that drives me mad is that I nearly missed that chance. What a fool I had been, a loyal fool, but a fool no less. Buffy was hurt and I stepped up and defended her and at what cost? Nearly the possibility of my eternal lonliness.

It doesn't matter, what matters at this moment in this time is that Jenny is alive and needs me. While she was in the shower I took the time to get things in order for her to be staying here, I wasn't about to let her out of my site if I could avoid it. I lit candles with soothing scents and placed them in each room, changed the sheets to make certain that they were clean for her. The last thing I had to do was pay for her food that should arrive any moment.

That is when Jenny emerged from the bathroom, wrapped her trembling arms around me. "You didn't at all." I say as I gather her tight in my arms. It was then I noticed the bruising around her neck. "Please sit down Darling...I have something for your neck." I led her to a chair and aided her to sit down then made my way to the kitchen taking out some herbs and mixing them into a thick paste, once it was proper consistency I retrieved bandages and returned to her side.

"This will feel cold against your skin, but it will help with the pain and the bruising." I say as I spread some on a thick piece of gauze and placed it against her neck. "Does that help?" I ask praying that it will aid her pain and the visual reminders of the terrible night. "Your food should arrive soon as well." I add, though all I wanted to do was lock her away and protect her forgoing anything that stood in the way of that.
