We took a little day trip Saturday to see a couple of old bridges. We were going to make it 3 old bridges but the downtown park we were investigating turned out to be very small and very crowded so we kept driving. It looked bigger on the map ...

Sunday, Pip and Bar and I rode up the Blue Ridge Parkway for a couple of hours until we got to Mt Mitchell, the tallest peak east of the Mississippi. They've got a nice restaurant so we had lunch and then headed back. Here are some photos:
