Project: Atlantis

I'm going to have to officially retitle it one of these days. As much as I like the way "Project: Atlantis" flows, I think "The Atlantis Project" is probably the better way to go. It allows for a subtitle to differentiate the books. (Not that, should it sell, that would really mean diddly; marketing chooses titles most of the time.) The first, for example, would be "The Atlantis Project: Necrocon."

I need to jot down the basic outline for myself before I slog into GEM. I haven't started yet, and I know it's because I'm not in touch with the storyline enough to try. Plus, I'll have fewer things to fix in edits if I know what and where I'm going with it. I need to check whether or not I wrote a plotline for it before, and modify as necessary. And I need to research more on Egyptian architecture, daily life, and religious practices. Which means I need to unpack the book boxes. We also need to buy that futon so I have some place comfy to sit in my new writing room. :) Maybe I should make that one of my rewards...since I don't really care about those already up there...

Writing is fun. :) But it's also a habit, a great deal like exercising. Exercise can be fun, and can energize a person and make one feel better. But it can be really darn hard to go do it, because thinking about it is a lot simpler, and requires a great deal less effort. I get to start both this weekend!
