July diversions
This month I are mostly been working, or slumping, so this is going to be short:
Films: For the second month in a row, I've not seen a single new-to-me film.
Books: I finally finished The Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing. This really deserves a post of its own, but in summary it wasn't nearly half as clever as it thought it was, not nearly as interesting as the concept of the structure would have suggested, but once I got over the urge to stop reading three times in the fist hundred pages it did manage to keep my attention.
TV: End of the season for Dr Who, Scrubs and House. We've been watching re-runs of the wonderfully silly NCIS, including (coincidentally) the JAG cross-over episodes that introduce it. Oh, and lots of Family Guy reruns as well.
Theatre: Saw Private Lives recently, which was lots of snarky fun.
Music: Not been to see anyone, not bought anything :-(
Travel: A weekend away in North Wales, the results of which are still being spammed to flickr.
And that's your lot. I'm hoping for better things from August, starting with a cinema trip this afternoon.
