I think I'm finally getting a handle on the new album.  Mostly listening to "Walking Far From Home" and "Rabbit Will Run" for now, but the latter is rather mesmerizing, especially how cleverly it mixes the old and the new.  The song lyrics still require some deciphering, and that pastoral feel to the music is still there even it feels a lot less ( Read more... )

The last couple of weeks have been imposing varying degrees of hellishness on me, but they are over, at least, and it's Friday.   The weather's quite cold now, and the feel of Christmas (already?) is seemingly everywhere, which vaguely cheers me up.  I'll get back to being more fandomy pretty soon, or so I hope.
