The Vegan Society and Environment Films have come together to produce a contemporary film about the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. With views on veganism from a wide variety of people, including chefs, an MP, atheletes, a dietician, environmentalists, stock free farmers and a poet it's a rather excellent film.

the emotional world of farm animals

I found a documentary that talks about farm animals' emotions. Unfortunately it doesn't provide any scientific proof [vegans don't really need it, but omnivores do] but it still has some touching stories, like animals that escaped from slaughterhouses and were able to find a freer life.

So today I was watching Milo and Otis. I haven't watched it since I was like 5, so now I was watching it with a new perspective. Expecting to sit down and enjoy a cute cuddly movie narrated by Dudley Moore (him trying to impersonate a cat giving labor is just too funny) I actually found myself really disturbed. It's entirely done w/ CGI- cool as hell to look at, but doesn't exactly portray the vegans in such a great light. I'm so sick of the disparaging caricatures.
