Doubling VCTOTW recipes?

Has anyone tried doubling the basic chocolate or vanilla cupcakes from VCTOTW? Any trouble in doing so? I need to make about eight batches of each, and it would be awfully nice to cut that work in half. Since it's for a wedding, though, I can't afford to screw it up!
