It's weird ... In my last Salvage group, I only saw one Skirmish Pephedro and it was almost 1 year ago; February 2009. Since then, that Salvage group disbanded and I started up a new one with mostly LS members. Since then, we'd done Bhaflau Remnants a good number of times and never once saw a Bee NM from the 2F Rampart for months and months.
Then all of the sudden, the last 3 times in a row that we went, NMs have popped from that Rampart. The first time, we got 1 Hikazu Sune-ate out of 3 NMs, I think it was. The next time, we were a big 0-4 on drops, then finally this past Friday we hit up BR with a 5-man group and a whopping 7 NMs popped, with the first 2 dropping Hikazu Sune-ate!!
It was totally awesome. Elphaba got one pair and Clannagh got the other, even though he can't wear the upgraded piece yet ... he's gonna level up SAM or something one day. With the uncertain status of Rizelmine's participation in our group, though I'm expecting him not to come much more, if at all; we're now done with the 2F Rampart in Bhaflau! The only thing that'd make us go back is if we had a pick-up w/ us and we were targeting another floor or if someone else in the group levels up a job that needs Usukane. Well, that's not totally accurate as it's possible Kalian comes back in the summer and will want them, but at least we're done with that damn thing for a long time.
Dynamis-Windurst:
I normally don't break down a recap of city Dynamis runs anymore, but we participated in easily our best Dynamis-Windurst ever on Sunday. For some odd reason, we had 32 people show up which is pretty much the most we could ever expect for a Dynamis these days. Knowing that'd we've put pretty big dents on Dynamis-Windy in the past with 22-25 people, I decided to pull damn near everything I could find. When it was all said and done, we'd killed everything in the zone except the death house. All the regular pops, all the repops, even a couple of stats that I didn't even know existed up around Heaven's Tower. It was awesome.
All this killing netted us close to 350 coins, 250 of which were singles... but the stunner was getting 20 AF2 to drop. Not only was that a record for Windy, it was a record for any city zone we've done. Each of the other cities have records of 19 drops... Windy's previous record was 11... Eleven! We blew that out of the water.
So since we do a City about once a month anymore, it was nice to have such a productive run this time around!
Other stuff, including /tell Screenshots!:
Saturday night was our first Sea event in awhile and we devoted the entire event to Jailers of Love pops. We did 3 in total and all we got for our troubles were 2 Love Torques. They were both wanted, of course, but we wanted some Novios too... yes, please!! We're getting pretty full on pops for other Jailers so I'm hoping Sea continues to be productive for us.
During Sea, Elphie was sending me tells about what we should call one particular LS member and one of them struck me to be quite funny:
I can't figure out why that made me laugh, but it did.
Some other things we did earlier in the week were KS99 Wyrm, which of course didn't give us any Speed Belts. I had kept track at one point, but it's useless to anymore ... I think we're probably 1/60 on the drop now. Other BCNM happenings included 4 shots at a Kraken Club on Saturday, but of course no drops. We did get a Hagun to drop last week which I failed to mention in my last post, but that was nice. It sold netting us 850k each. After the Dec/Jan gil payout I hope to be back to the gil level I was before purchasing Oily Trousers. That'll put me in good shape should I obtain the armor to complete a Salvage Body upgrade.
I had a few people annoy me this week, one of which I alluded to last week. Here's a golden snippet from our conversation where I tried explaining why people might not like it if someone moonlights in another linkshell while still attempting to get items from ours:
Name not redacted, cause moron. I later learned that he dropped his pearl, I guess he made his choice. He was on his 2nd tour with Immortality, having left once before for WhirlingWind, but this most recent departure signifies a permanent vacation. So when his 2-bit "camping" LS (that I only ever see in either Sky or Dynamis) blows up and he comes crawling back, I'll be sure to let him know to talk to the hand.
No big loss, trust me. It's still annoying though. None of the other nuisances warrant mention in this post, but let's just say when my main motivation with an individual is to keep other people from complaining to me about them, that's messed up.
