Odin #12; Other Random Shiz
Our last Odin was Dec. 6th, but we took 3 weeks off over the Holidays, so we rolled back around to another at about a normal pace. As much as I'd like it to be different, we always seem to need 2-3 cracks at Wing 3 in order to get that clear out of the way. Kinda lame, but that's what we're stuck with these days. The good news this time around was that our Wing 3 win came at the expense of the Vampyr boss which we'd rarely seen before and never beaten. That means we've now beaten all the bosses in all Einherjar Wings except for the King Behemoth mob. Part of that is only getting him 3-4 times in about 45 Wing 3 attempts, but mostly it's because when we do get him he owns our faces. Oh well, one day we'll drop him.
Anyway! We took exactly 24 people in for this Odin and I was slightly worried because a handful of the entrants had never fought him before. But I got a good alliance setup together and we took him down with almost no issues at all. Wodie told me after that some WW members were asking how many DDs we had, and I didn't know off hand ... but when I went to get the answer I was surprised to notice that there were only 9 in total: 4 SAMs, 2 WARs, 2 RNGs, 1 DRK. We had zero SMNs this time and the rest of the alliance were tanks or mages/support. We may have done Odin with less before, but just directly seeing a list of the jobs we used was pretty cool ... it doesn't seem like all that much.
Drops were pretty decent, but not great:
A 2nd Body abjuration loading would have been better, but A.Body, H.Feet, and Hofud are pretty cool. It was our first Hofud ever. W.Head is kinda neat, but sort of in the middle as far as quality of 2nd slot Odin drop goes.

Since our LS vacation and my receipt of E.Body, I've been working on my WAR. I took it from 40 to 61 in about a month. That's pretty good for me, especially since I'm not a very hard core leveler. Bonanza marbles are taking a toll on my inventory, so WAR leveling is going to be limited to XP scrolls and FoV until I can redeem all my marbles. If I bought all the appropriate WS gear for my level, I'd have almost no space left whatsoever.
I collected a few merits as well, putting them into THF TA/SA recast. I have one more Group 1 merit for THF that I can still use. It will probably be Flee recast because it's only 1 pt and for the lulz.
Let's see, what else has been going on since we returned from vacation. I was sick as a dog our first weekend back, so I missed Einherjar/Dynamis. We did a Xarcabard last weekend and got drops that would have been awesome a year ago (2 Valor Surcoats), but nothing much that anyone wanted. A zillion people seem to have THF leveled now and there's a pretty big backlog for the Assassin's Armlets. It's gonna take us forever to get all those.
Oh snap! They did an Omega too. I'll update those drops down below. On a related note, I've effectively quit Limbus. I hate leading it and I've been doing it since Sept. '07 and hot damn, I'm done with it. I'll still sub if we have no other leaders available, but only with notice. I'm looking forward to some Tuesday nights with no game obligations whatsoever.
LS-related, my fears of some attrition over the Holidays has come true. From people not getting their 'Verified by Visa' to work, to people taking a break, to people quitting, to people deciding to go join horrible Linkshells because Immortality isn't active enough for them (wtfOkie); we've dropped in #'s a bit. We let some new people in who are by and large good contributors so far. We're still in need of WHMs & RDMs who actually enjoy playing the job and will show up on it without being asked, but I'm beginning to think they are extinct.
WHAT THE HELL ELSE has happened in the last 2 weeks. I can't think of anything. Oh, we finally got some Pedros to pop in Bhaf. 2F, but only one dropped. Salvage sort of stagnated there for a bit, but I think we're back on track now. We might need a new member soon, but I'm not entirely sure.
