... He knows that voice. Not personally, since he's been trying to hit on her (and failing) whenever they passed, but he knew that voice!

"... Frau von Karma?" Who the hell would be DUMB enough to abduct Franziska von Karma? Everyone knew her. Her whip was the only thing that stung more than her words, and... well, he knew from experience, really. Klavier woke up later than she did, of course, so she's probably been wandering awhile--it seemed they just woke up here, like that, and he found her by happenstance. Or luck.

Whatever the reason? He was glad someone he knew of, at least, was around. "Perhaps you should calm down..." He's not dumb enough to get too close to that viper she called a whip, though. Not just yet.

Franziska turned abruptly to the voice, ready to verbally and physically lash out at the source. However, she realizes that the person was far from her whipping range, which is a pretty big distance since her whip could reach a judge all the way down from her prosecutor's bench. How cowardly and enraging! She decides to point accusingly at him instead.

"Don't tell me what to do! A von Karma is not one to be commanded!" she barked angrily, obviously not recognizing Klavier. "You will tell me where I am this instant!"

That wasn't a question. It was a demand.

Klavier's uneasiness melts away. Ah, Franziska. Now he remembered why he liked you. There's a moment when he smiles, pulling his blond hair, before releasing it.

"I would if I knew, believe me. And when I find out who decided it was a great idea to kidnap two prosecutors, I will let you know."

He's getting closer anyway. No use staying around; his courage was back, as was his sense (or lack thereof), so he didn't think there was anything wrong with a little flirting. Besides, he'd been whipped before. It wasn't THAT bad.

"And it was merely a suggestion. If you whip everyone we meet, Frau, we will not get to the bottom of this if they are scared off. And I am well aware of who you are. Did you forget who I am?"

Neku happened to be one such passerby, and even if he hadn't been relatively close, the crack of that whip seemed to echo throughout the entire scale of the city. He jumped back on instinct, letting out a quick gasp, and almost thought it might have been thunder, if not for quickly recalling that such a phenomenon does not occur deep in the ocean. But, one glance quickly answered any of the questions that could have arisen. Wet clothes, bad attitude? Yep, this one's new here.

... Although that didn't really explain the whip.

It seems that she's trying to calm down now, pondering as she folds her arms, and throughly ignoring Neku's staring. How lucky for him.

"It has to be Alba's men... There would be no one else who'd try to kidnap me..." Franziska mumbles to herself but as soon as that thought entered her mind, it seems to make he angry again. "Only a foolish fool at the bottom of a foolish pit of foolhardy fools would foolishly think that this would stop me...!"

She swings her whip again in frustration. Watch out, Neku. You may or may not get hit.

And this time, it lashes enough that he really had to jump back, and it was a good thing, because chances are, he just might have gotten hit. Once might have been an accident, but twice meant she was fully aware of what she was doing, and that called for intervention, especially because he was the almost victim in this case.

"Hey!" he shouted, raising a fist in the air. "You wanna watch where you're swinging that thing!?"

How rude! Franziska glares at the boy with the headphones, her irritability increased upon being chastised for her usage of the whip. To think that a kid would have some nerve to yell at her like that! It was just so... infuriating!

"It's not my fault if someone foolishly walks into it like a fool!" she retorts, argument being as natural to her as the act of breathing. "I might stop once I get answers as to where and why I'm here and not at the courthouse!"

You really like saying "fool" don't you? I got it the first five times you said it, thanks.

[That wasn't a request. It was a statement.]

Vash was walking by, contemplating Noel's lovely eyes and fair locks when a loud snapping sound struck him out of his reverie. He jumped back, then saw the woman standing in the middle district, wet and really, really angry. And she had a whip. Keeping a good distance away, Vash called out to her.

"Hey, ma'am! You okay?" That whip looked awfully dangerous...as if they really needed more dangeorus people in this city.

Franziska is not dangerous at all! She is an enforcer of law and justice! She just likes to be more... involved, yes. She turns to the the source of the voice, and---Oh, he's too far for her to whip the stupidity out of him. She'll just settle for pointing accusingly.

"What kind of fool would ask a foolish question like that so foolishly?! I'm not where I am supposed to be, my clothes are wet, and I have important business to attend to! Does it look like I'm okay?!"

Vash immediatedly held his hands up protectively, a sheepish grin replacing his expression of curiosity. Man, this woman really did have a short temper. And she used the word "fool" too much for some reason.

"You, know, I was exactly like you a few days ago. This place is called Vatheon, it's underwater, and nobody can get back home." Vash took a few steps closer to her. Hopefully, she wouldn't hit him with that whip of hers. "It'll take some time to get used to this place, sicne you're here for wa while."

NO SUCH THING whippitydafool March 5 2010, 06:23:40 UTC
Well, his cooperativeness certainly made Franziska calm down a little. She never liked it when anyone talked back to her. So, lucky you, Vash, she's not going to whip you. Any time soon, that is.

"It's underwater and there's no way out...?" she folds her arms across her chest, and silently contemplates this.

"... That's ridiculous."

[He really wasn't doing much! Just picking up some fresh clothes because hey, he still hasn't found that laundromat. In one hand is a brown paper bag, which is swinging by his side as he walks down the street, humming a bit. The other hand holds a bright red apple while he bites into as turns the street corner, just going to pick up some food from that place he found the other day when AGH NO HE KNOWS THAT VOICE. HOLY SHIT WHY IS SHE HERE?!?!?!

He bites down on his tongue by accident and freezes in his spot. At least she couldn't see him yet. He was behind her, standing on the street corner like an idiot when he really should be RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE. The apple falls from his hand and he takes a step back, shaking his head.]

N-Noooo....

[She knew that voice. And even without looking, she could easily deduce that he was cowering from her presence. How insulting. It wasn't as if she was some sort of monster! The only way to make him realize this, of course, was with proper punishment. So when she turns around, her whip follows her movements and lashes out at the poor attorney.]

What is with that unsightly reaction, Phoenix Wright?! It's been a month since our last meeting, and this is the greeting I get? Only a fool as foolish as the fool you are would foolishly forget his manners like a fool!

[Some things never change.]
