Since Selphie had been camping out in the plaza, she had noticed Kenshin sitting enjoying himself, looking very fancy and all dressed up. She stretched and yawned before crossing the plaza, plopping herself down on the chair opposite him.
Kenshin turned and offered Selphie a soft yet warm smile. It was what he often wore, though as of late, he had been wearing a yukata with the warmer weather.
"Good afternoon, Selphie," he greeted his housemate and close friend. "How do you fair this afternoon?"
"I am certain he will." A disappearing friend. That seemed to be the story of Vatheon. Friends came and went mysteriously. And sometimes they came back.
Kenshin nodded. "Indeed I do. Such an unusual yet very delicious taste."
Well that was someone you certainly would not miss in a crowd. Ran pauses as he sees him, unable to help being curious. First he hears tale of dinosaurs, and now some sort of ancient warrior?
Ran does not talk to strangers much, at least not like this, but he is not shy as he approaches. "Hello. Are you waiting for someone?"
The katana at his side tended to give him away, but as he'd been here for several months, leaving his katana back at 'home' wasn't really an option. There were too many opportunities for invasions or whatnot to try to kill him. First the illusions, then the pirate ghosts and Kefka going absolutely nuts and trying to destroy the bubble, and most recently, dinosaurs. He had too much to live for to die here.
Anyway, Kenshin smiled softly at the stranger. "I am not. You are welcome to join me."
He found no harm in being forward. And now Kenshin had a name to call his company. "A pleasure, Ran-dono," Kenshin offered a small yet respectful nod. "I am Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo."
In armor of his own sans his trademark kabuto, Masamune happened to be visiting the plaza when he spotted Kenshin from a distance. Without wasting a second and, wearing a mild grin on his face, he changed courses and approached the fellow samurai. That seat was empty.
A slight smirk crossed Kenshin's lips, watching the dragon approach. Same old dragon he was, that cocky walk and smirk. Seemed he'd recovered from the ordeal with the near-loss of his chief retainer.
"Date-dono, do join me." He didn't directly answer the question, but he knew, under that hot-headdedness, Masamune was a rather intelligent man. There was no reason the two couldn't have a civil conversation. At least for a few moments.
Without missing a beat, he casually seated himself on the empty chair. There was no reason to be hostile, and he could push back a potential clash for later. Just for a little while, as long as the impending conversation was worth it.
"Don't expect me to have anything," he added. He wasn't in the mood to drink, nor was he interested in taking some of Kenshin's portion.
[ It is the outfit that Kenshin wear that attracts Nepeta, which ends up with her bounding over. ]
Kenshin-kuuuuuuuuun~! AC hasn't seen you in furrever!
[ SHE WAS ABOUT TO POUNCE but then realized you are in the middle of eating or something. So she will not pounce. It is only pawlite to not interrupt someone when they're eating, after all. ]

"It is fine sake," Kenshin commented, pouring a cup then downing it as if it were water. "Have you settled in, Date-dono?"
