[ Rubbing her eyes sleepily, Gracia walked into their kitchen and got a glass of water. She yawned and as she drank, she found herself walking to the open garden. Another yawn. What a nice cool night breeze...

...She was just about to go back in when she heard something. Like -- like dirt being dug up. And well. There's a quiet sound of activity beyond the small fence that separated their house to the next. She walked outside barefoot clad in a very simple yukata; her eyes widened in surprise. ]

Cana? It's so late at night! What are you doing?

[He dropped the trowel he was using when he heard someone talking to him. Clearly he hadn't planned on being caught in the act, let alone planned that someone else might be up. Coughing slightly, he looked a bit embarrassed as he looked up at her.]

H- hello Gracia. I didn't wake you, did I? [He conveniently 'forgot' to answer the question.]

[ She went up closer and squinted her eyes. It was Canada, wasn't it? It was a little dark, and the only light source was dim from the distance. She leaned on the fence with her free hand, tiptoeing as well. ]

No, I woke up myself to get water. [ She raised the glass for emphasis. ] What's going on? What are you doing?

[It was either Canada or America and such late-night shenanigans were probably more befitting the latter as opposed to the former.]

N- nothing. N- not much, really, anyway. [He was quickly hiding the trowel as secretively as he could.] ...just tying my shoe is all.

[ So he couldn't sleep that night and decided to take a walk. Upon coming back, what does he see by Ordo 6 but this sight? ]

[To say that he was startled when he was addressed would have been a bit of an understatement. It was probably rather humourous the way he jumped a bit.]

Jack walks outside, in the dead of night. What does he hear? He doesn't know. But he totally has a baseball bat behind the door, he had to protect Alice from thieves and robbers and the like.

But who he sees instead, it kinda makes him laugh. "Mister Dominion of Canada. It's half past midnight and you're planting flowers?"

One of these days he's going to have to work on gardening more quietly. Which means not bumbling around or muttering to himself, since he had nearly tripped earlier and was still talking to himself at the moment Jack had caught him.

Well. Speaking of being caught, he looked up at Jack, looking extremely guilty. "...that's exactly what I'm doing."

"Are you alright? Do you need to come in Matt?" His home was always open to Matthew, if he needed it to be. Jack was having a bout of insomnia tonight anyhow. Sleeping for so long made it hard to sleep again. But that was okay, he guessed.

"You look angry, but you don't seem like an angry gardener."

FINE. :(((((( /STALKS OFF, kicking grass.

"I- I'm fine. Really." If one considered yelling at someone and virtually kicking them out of his apartment and then throwing a gift they had brought him out the window fine, then he was completely fine. Avoiding people was also fine as well. Then again, nobody bothered to try contacting him, anyway, to see if he was okay so that didn't matter any more to him. It only seemed to solidify that he generally wasn't important enough unless he was seen.

"It's just that-" Pausing, he frowned a bit to himself before shaking his head and going back to his first statement. "N- no. It's nothing. I'm fine."

[Yawn... It's getting late. Maybe it's time for bed- ... wait. There's noises coming from outside. Was there something there?

Red decides to peek out his window, only to see a view of Canada, after several squints and staring. He doesn't say anything just yet, but he quickly returns inside to be able to exit the house.]

... Mattie!

[He was humming a soft tune to himself as he concentrated on planting a few bulbs. So it's a bit of a surprise when he hears his name and looks up to see Red.]

I- I hope I didn't wake you.

[pristinestar]

[Red watches Canada a little longer up here, then he decides to just jump out his window for a short-cut! Afterwards, Red walks over to him and kneels next to him.]

Don't worry, I wasn't sleeping yet.

[It was only after the fact that he realised he probably had enough time to run off before Red had jumped out the window.]

It does seem like it's one of those sleepless nights.
