"Oh~ What'cha making?" Xigbar leaned over her shoulder to eye the crafts project on her table, his hands set on his hips. He was feigning nothing but friendliness and interest, careful to portray himself as nothing but a kind old geezer. He wasn't sure if she'd fall for it, but hey, hadda try right? She was Sora's little princess of heart, after all; an interesting factor in the hero's mental strength.

Is he wearing his Org Coat?

"Hmm?" She paused in the middle of threading her needle, her concentration momentarily broken. She leaned back in her chair to see who had come up behind her. "It's a charm for-- Eyah!" Abruptly, the scar and eyepatch came into view, much closer than she'd expected, and she fell forward before she could catch herself.

Naturalemente, my dear.

Xigbar brought up his hands, cupping them around her elbows to keep her from either smashing into him or into the ground. Neither of those would give her a good impression of him, after all. "Oopsy daisy. Nothing broke?"

"Um--" She hesitated, blushing. "Sorry! Thank you." She caught her balance, settling all four legs of the chair back on the ground.

That was-- that was definitely a very familiar black coat. The face wasn't quite as familiar, but the coat was definitely the sign of a Bad Guy. Unless Vatheon happened to sell a very good imitation, anyway.

But-- he had caught her from falling over. That wasn't a Bad Guy thing to do, was it?

"I'm okay," She answers finally, unable to help a small frown. "Do I-- have we met before?"

He has an eye for anything artistic. So when he see's Kairi sitting there, he has to come over for a closer look. Being a city boy, he isn't so used to things being down with seashells, and its apparent in his face that he's...a tad more curious than he was when he first walked over.

"...What are you making?"

There were a lot more seashells littered across the tabletop than she actually intended to use, but she was sorting them out carefully, trying to pick the ones that would work the best together. She looked up with a surprised smile at the newcomer, someone she did not recognize.

"Charms," She replied cheerfully, her expression just as curious as his. "For my friends. But it's a surprise, so please don't tell anybody, okay?"

[ Normally he wouldn't be one to pry but the young girl caught his attention. She seemed busy enough and perhaps it was journalist instinct that made him curious so... have a Cheshire looking over your shoulder with a small tilt of his head. ]

Working hard, huh?

[She yelped a bit in surprise, glancing back quickly over her shoulder. She hadn't seen him coming, having been far too involved with her project. Luckily, she didn't drop the shell she had been working on.]

Um-- [She was a bit embarrassed at being startled.] Yeah. Sorry!

Sorry if I surprised you. Didn't mean to. Just saw you looking busy and kind of wondered what was up.

So... what're you working on if it's okay to ask?

[She returns the smile cautiously, her cheeks tinged a little bit red.] It's okay! No harm done. [Thankfully, she hadn't knocked any of the shells over.]

I'm making charms for my friends! It's kind of a long story, but... I think it's past time we all had one. [A pause.] But it's a secret, so you can't tell anybody, okay?

Kagome was wandering around when she happened to see a young woman moving seashells around with her. She almost seemed new and Kagome hadn't seen her before.

She walked over and smiled at her. "Hello my name is Kagome."

Kairi was bent down, scrounging around the ground at the edge of a few coral-like plants. She could have sworn she'd seen another seashell around here... The voice surprises her, and she glances up, looking for the source.

"Oh! Hello." She rises quickly, dusting off her skirt. "I'm Kairi! It's nice to meet you."

Kagome continueed to watch her. She smiled at the other girl.

"Hello Kairi. You too." She had never seen her before and although there were a lot of people there but she wasn't sure.

"Are you new here?"

"Sort've," Kairi replies with a laugh. "I got here a few days ago, and I'm still trying to find my way around." She thought the girl was a stranger here, like she was-- she didn't seem like one of the natives, at least. "How long have you been here?"

[A voice calls out behind Kairi some ways away. Sora recognizes that bright red hair anywhere and he waves a hand over his head as he jogs towards her.]

Kairi! There you are!

[charmedsea]

[Cue mad scrambling to hide the evidence. It was not easy, being as she had accumulated quite a lot, and she eventually compromised by tossing her shopping bag over the table just as Sora caught up.]

Hi, Sora! [Nothing to see here, nope, nada, nothing. And the way she had her arms over the bag was not at all suspicious.] What are you doing here?

I've been looking for you. There's something I wanna ask you about your charm.

[Strangely enough, the topic at hand is a complete coincidence. He and Usagi have been thinking about what to make for some friends for Christmas, and Kairi always seems to know how to gifts with real meaning.]

[He pauses]

Are you okay? You look kinda distracted.

M-my charm? [Was that a squeak? Her eyes go wide as she watches her best friend, wondering how he had figured it all out already. She had been so very careful to leave early and pick up all the supplies on her own...]

Oh no, I'm fine! [Still... covering the table.] Totally fine. What's up?
