A massive, ominous shadow emerged, covering Adrian. Out of it came a massive, black bat with six red eyes that landed on the edge of the bench. Its infernal head was adorned with a crown of vicious, demonic looking horns. Alucard's found you Adrian. My, my. You are quite an adorable little dhampire bat.
The No Life King crawls along the edge getting closer to the dhampire bat. When he got close enough, he nudged the dhampire bat's head with his nose.
What a strange feeling, as frightful and shocking as that creature should have been, Adrian knew exactly who it was and he crawled to meet Alucard; dragged himself along very slowly with his tiny claws.
When he was close enough he began to squeak repeated, as if whining for attention.
The sound that came out of the Vampire King's mouth was nothing like the adorable squeak Adrian had. No, his voice was infernal, rumbling, demonic. It was more akin to a disjointed growl than anything else.
Alucard crawled closer to Adrian, wrapping a massive, leathery wing around the tiny dhampire bat. The vampire nuzzled his magnificent, regal forehead against Adrian's tiny one.
The vampire rumbled something akin to a chuckle. Such a precious boy the city hath blessed him with. The King of Beasts rustled his large wings around Adrian. An ominous black tongue emerged from the hellacious jaws of the vampire bat, licking the top of the dhampire's head.
The small creature, who seemed so swamped by Alucard's size, seemed to blink curiously. How odd, was that a little laugh? Had he heard him? No, surely not.
He could not... Surely not... Oh dear, what if I've thought something awful and he heard me think it? Oh--must stop thinking to myself.
Adrian's tiny head leaned into the cleaning, not even slightly phased by those jagged teeth.
The vampire's voice rumbled in the young dhampire's head as he continued to clean the little bat. Adrian looked so small, so frail in the King of Beast's massive wings. His whole size in general was enough to intimidate the local fauna, commanding that they stay away. The vampire continued to clean his young one.
That had startled Adrian and his tiny claws curled around large clumps of Alucard's fur, he squeaked again. Only to calm down seconds later when the sounds in his head formed words he recognised. The squeaking subsided.
Father... you're enormous, why is it that you're so big?
I am the No Life King, my child. I am Dracula. I am the Impaling Prince of Transylvania. It is my nature, my dearest son.
Alucard let Adrian cling to him. His tiny claws against his black fur was strangely soothing. He growled softly, calming the adorably frenzied squeaking from the young dhampire bat.
I can transform into creatures from the deepest pits of Hell. I can call fort these same creatures. I am the King of Beasts and they are at my beck and call. My precious prince.
Father?... Do you ever feel intimidated by your powers?
Adrian asked, quite innocently, before he thought of what had crossed his mind and how Alucard would probably think it to be a rather... foolish question.
You would not bring forth Hell here though, would you? You wouldn't think to frighten others?
Ah, Adrian was so naive to Alucard's true nature sometimes.
The people of this City have not earned the privilege to see me make it rain blood, my child. Should anything happen to you or Namine, I will turn this City into Gehenna. I will summon my army of three million devoured souls and hellbeasts. Nobody dareth to touch what is mine.
The vampire bat rustled his wings, pulling Adrian a little closer. Such a precious baby. And he was all Alucard's.
Adrian waddled closer, he didn't have a great deal of... balance in this form, but the attention was lovely. He liked it very much.
His voice rung in his own head again, it seemed softer somehow now.
Father... you shouldn't frighten people, it would not be right to punish everyone if something happened to one of us. I'm sure it won't though, there are many kind people here, don't you think?
Now that voice was very little, almost as though he didn't want Alucard to sense it. It was the truth, he adored Alucard, and why shouldn't he? All that Alucard had shown him was affection and care, he protected him, gave him a home, educated him. To Adrian, Alucard was no monster. He was a father.

Adrian thought to himself, leaning his tiny body against Alucard's weight. He was lost in those wings...

Adrian paused a moment before adding, as if trying to make Alucard proud somehow.
I can shift into more than a bat, I can change into a wolf and even mist!
