Hello 2020

Jan 12, 2020 16:24

I regret not going to work for a day or two during the Christmas break. It would save me feeling stressed and more accomplished with the tasks that I need to catch up on. Why tell me the work is behind when you have had me stuck on the reception dealing with patients and phone calls? FFS. Anyway I think most of my annual leave was used up during those 10 days away. Now I'm back at work and it's just a mess as usual.

So with fandom stuff

I tried hard to get a VIP ticket to ATEEZ before going to work. Actually sat in a train station borrowing the wi-fi to access presales on AXS app. Sadly the site refreshed on me by accident so I lost a damn good seat. No hi-touch for me. But I tried again the following day on my day off at home and got a slightly decent ticket. Better than nothing from presales. If MyMusicTaste do a fansign I'll have to splash out on that. Or if they do a special event with photo session, meet and greet and Q + A I'll go for it.

So ATEEZ is March. I'm sacrificing today to not see DAY6. The venue is a no-go sadly. I like the new set list as it has my favourite song from their earlier era but I won't witness it for realz. Saddening really.

I was watching Kingdom with Ju Jihoon and zombies is not my thing but for the sake of him I zoomed through all six episodes. Now I wait for the next seasons :( We'll see how much further I can survive.

Also sat through BBC's Dracula. That was a mission. But some of the main characters were decent but in the process there were other characters that got messed up and shafted badly...we're talking about the writers of Sherlock BBC after all which can be hit/miss for many.

On Saturday 11 January I went to Gaza Cafe in Soho for Jaebum's late birthday event. It was a cupsleeve event arranged by UKAhgase. It wasn't that packed (compared to the latest Bangtan birthday events there) so it was easy to get in after an hour of waiting and I managed to get most of the nice goodies as I was in the first 200 visitors. The special drink was a Mango Smoothie which enabled visitors to get the cup sleeve and other cute stuff. Gaze Cafe is going to make a lot of money with these cup sleeve events.

Damn Hallyu [mostly Kpop] is getting big...not sure how I feel. But nobody gives a shit about what this old fashioned BBC thinks... *off to write angsty poetry*
