A/N: My second fic, inspired by Grey's Anatomy.
Hyunseung rubbed his eyes violently as the ray of sunshine passed through his big windows and painfully blinding him. He got up only to feel the aching back pain from sleeping on the couch. His head was terribly pounding as the hang over attacked him. He glanced over to the big clock in the living room and realised the time.
He then search around for something to cover up his naked body, and took up his blanket from the love seat and wrapped it around his torso. He glanced down to the sleeping stranger that was sprawled across the floor beside his coffee table. The man was practically kissing Hyunseung's cold floor.
Hyunseung sighed as he cursed himself to sleep with a random guy he met at a bar last night. He groaned as he saw the mess they created last night; a broken lamp, a crack on his glass coffee table and the tilted-down curtains. They were practically ravishing each other around the apartment. He grabbed his cushion and spanked it on the stranger's visible butt and succeeded in waking the other up.
"You’re up early,” He mumbled while rubbing his eyes.
“You have to go.” Hyunseung said nonchalantly as he picked up his clothing and threw them into the laundry basket.
"Why? How about you come here to pick up to where we left off?" the other male said, chuckling while gesturing Hyunseung to the space beside him.
Hyunseung grinned on the suggestion but shook his head, “No, seriously. You have to go. I'm late, which isn't what you want to be on your first day of work.”
The other male ignored the request and glanced around the room before commenting,”Your place is very nice. I like it. I didn't notice it yesterday since we…” He trailed off suggestively with a smirk on his face.
Hyunseung let out a sarcastic laugh, “Thank you. It was my mother’s and I just moved here a couple weeks ago.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.”
“For what?”
“You said ‘was’. I assumed-”
“What? No, she’s not dead. She’s-“ Hyunseung paused before continuing, “You know what? We don't have to do the thing."
"What thing? We can do anything you want."
"No. The thing- this, exchanging details. Pretend that we care.”
Hyunseung sighed before continuing, “I'm going to take a shower, okay? And when I came back here, you won't be here. So, goodbye... Um…" Hyunseung couldn’t finish his sentence because he didn't know the stranger's name.
Great, you're such a big slut Jang Hyunseung, sleeping with people without exchanging names.
The other voluntarily finished the other's sentence, "Junhyung."
"Oh. Junhyung. Right. I'm Hyunseung."
Junhyung snickered and started picking up his attire that was spread around the room. “Nice meeting you, Hyunseung.”
Before he left for the bathroom with his tiny hops Hyunseung said with a smile, “Goodbye, Junhyung.”
"Okay so this is your work desk. If you have any question, feel free to ask me." The secretary named Sohyun gave out a small smile after she showed Hyunseung his little office cube.
Hyunseung nodded knowingly and sank into his seat. He glanced around his new office. Quietly examining the new surroundings, and the new people. A strand of blonde hair besides him attracted his eyes. What kind of a crazy guy would bleach his hair silver blonde these days?
"Hi-yom~! Good mooorning!"
The childish voice came from a guy with big nerdy glasses who popped into Hyunseung's vision from across his cube. He gave out a grin and a handshake. Hyunseung politely stood up from his seat and accepted the handshake with a small smile.
"I'm Kikwang. You're the new guy, right?"
Hyunseung nodded in response, "Hyunseung's the name."
Kikwang was a little bit surprised to hear the other's low voice. He thought the other was a girl at first because he found himincredibly pretty than any other girls he's ever met and without Kikwang realizing, he sounded his thinking out loud, with an amusement plastered on his face, "You're very pretty."
Hyunseung raised a brow at the comment. He didn't find it as a compliment, instead as a insult. But he couldn't be rude to his soon co-worker, right? So, he took it down with a polite smile. Although he always hated being called 'pretty', he said, "Thank you. But I don't appreciate people calling me that."
Kikwang made an O with his mouth and scratched his head awkwardly without meeting Hyunseung's gaze. "But it's true." He said innocently like it's the obvious thing in the world.
Another voice interrupted the conversation, "Kikwang-ah, I'll tell Dongwoon that you cheated on him." Hyunseung turned his gaze around to the owner of the voice. The crazy blonde before. The said person whacked Kikwang on the head, "Please ignore this idiot."
Kikwang pouted in his adorable way and rubbed the place where Yoseob hit him and mumbled to Hyunseung, "Introducing, my mean friend, Yang Yoseob. And I didn't cheat on Woonie! I'm just stating a matter of fact."
Yoseob rolled his eyes, "Yeah right. You were totally hitting on him. Hyunseung, be careful of this womanizer." He paused and felt odd, "...or manizer? Oh God whatever just don't let your guard down on this guy."
Hyunseung blinked and stared for a while. It took him a moment to adjust to the information until he nodded knowingly. Weird people. That's Hyunseung's opinion at first on Yoseob and Kikwang. Turned out they were decent people. They introduced the introvert Hyunseung to the office. Their department consist of 12 people, including him.
Hyunseung was the type who had a hard time remembering all the names, especially in one day, so he wrote up his colleagues' features to help him remember.
The quirky one is the moustache and weird antics, which Hyunseung remembered the name vaguely, G.O.
The one with baggy eyes and virtually dark clouds Hyunseung swore he could see above him was Seungho.
Another tall foreign looking man with deep voice is Dongwoon. Hyunseung recalled the male is the Kikwang's 'Woonie'.
Another freakishly tall male is Cheondoong. Despite his feature, the boy was very shy and cute and always tagged along the moustache-guy.
The incredibly loud person despite his small body is Mir. Hyunseung heard that he was a farmer before he came to Seoul for work.
Joon, the one with the foxy smile and one of the most narcistic person Hyunseung had ever met. The said person always checks himself in the mirror every five minutes and smiles as the view pleases him.
Whiny Hyunah, with the cherry red lips and obviously the hottest girl in the department. But every time she whines, Hyunseung have to resist the urge to rip her apart.
Sohyun, the secretary was the maknae of the department, same age as Dongwoon, making them the maknaes.
Yoseob was easy to remember for his blonde hair and cheery personality. His aegyo around the office always manages to make everyone smiles.
Yoseob's boyfriend, Doojoon was the vice-chief of the office, is funny and sociable. He cracks jokes in the silent office and lighten up the mood.
Kikwang, well, hold a place in his memory for calling him 'pretty' on his very first day. Not something to forget easily.
Hyunseung noted that Kikwang is dating Dongwoon, Yoseob and Doojoon, Joon and Mir, Hyunseung found it disturbing to see the couples being all lovey dovey in the office even in one day.
They're a lot of people to memorize on his first day, after writing them down, Sohyun called after him.
"Yes?"
"Chief wants to see you in his office." She pointed to a small office behind her receptionist desk.
Hyunseung knocked for the door and heard a voice asking him to go inside. He poked his head into the office before stepping in slowly. Without looking up from the papers, the male in the room said, "There are some errors I found in your report. I'm gonna let it go cause it's your first day of work. But I'm not that forgiving for the next time-" The other male looked up from his desk, "Understand?"
But as he gazes at his new employee, a recognizition ran across his face. Hyunseung's face darken as he saw his boss clearly. The guy at the bar.
"Hyunseung?"
The familiar deep voice reminded Hyunseung of the moans he heard last night.
Hyunseung didn't know what to do but to run, he ran to search for the door knob but his boss beat him to it. Junhyung was guarding the exit with a smirk on his face.
Hyunseung tried to calm himself down but his voice betrayed him as he stuttered, "W-We should pretend it never happen."
"What never happen? You sleeping with me last night or you throwing me out this morning?" Junhyung chuckled, "Cause both are the memories I'd like to hold onto."
Hyunseung's eyes widened in horror, "What? No! There will be no memories."
He pointed to the other male and to himself, "This. Can't. Exist. And stop looking at me like that!"
Junhyung snickered as he stopped his intense gaze on the beautiful male. "Like what?"
"Like you've seen me naked!" Hyunseung practically yelled at his boss. Junhyung smirked even more on the words, his smile curved up until he resembles a Joker. "You're not the guy in the bar anymore. You're my boss! Please understand that."
Junhyung faked a pout, "But you took advantage of me. I was drunk, vulnerable and very good-looking. Responsibility came after that."
Hyunseung rolled his eyes, "Please. I was drunk and you're not that good-looking."
"Want to take advantage again? Say, Saturday night?" His boss poked him on the side.
Hyunseung couldn't believe what he just heard, "Junhyung-ssi, this is inappropriate."
"What's inappropriate is what I did to you last night," he chuckled.
Hyunseung felt the red creeping up his cheeks on the comment. He would smack the other on the head if not because he's his boss. Instead, he stormed out of the room and shoved the other out of the way. Leaving the other in his amused self.
Since then, Junhyung always makes excuses to make Hyunseung enters his office. Any small little petty mistake would be resulting Junhyung sweet-talking the reindeer boy in his office. Hyunseung tried to not make any of them, he double-checked everything but Junhyung just didn't do him any justice. He sometimes called him in just because capital letter error in his report. And Hyunseung definitely didn't like the rumours that had been going around the office. People talk.
Kikwang nagged at Hyunseung who was frustrated with his work, paying every single details not to mess up. If he doesn't want to be called into the ten-minutes-hell in Junhyung's office. "Yah, are you dating boss?"
Mir shouted from across the room, "I bet 10000 won that they're dating!"
G.O joined in, "Make it twenty!"
Hyunseung glared to the two and succeeded in making them shrunk back in fear.
Kikwang asked again, "Seriously, are you?"
Hyunseung shrugged him off, "No. But I'm gay."
Hyunah who was sitting on Hyunseung's left turned to him and whined, "Yah, I thought you were straight! At first I'm happy working in this office with good-looking guys but I regretted it soon because now I'm surrounded by homosexuals couples! The only one available is the cloudy dark guy which I don't have any interest at.."
The office pretended not to have hear that. Doojoon was still playfully rubbing Yoseob's chin like the blonde was his pet. Kikwang was humming gleefully while resting his head on Dongwoon's shoulder. Joon and Mir being the village idiots ignoring Hyunah's whining. G.O and Chundong were completely in their little world where they were the only people that existed. Only Seungho muttered under his breath, "Stupid bitch."
Hyunah let out a big sigh, "I think I'm turning into a lesbian." After a minute she called out for Sohyun.
Hyunseung mentally cursed himself when he found himself again in Junhyung's office. It's late at night. Everybody else had gone home. How did he forget to put a coma between the sentence? It was driving him insane at some point, but in his corner of his heart, he knew he always had waited for this moment. The moment alone with Junhyung.
Just like before in the elevator.
Hyunseung said from behind, "I'm not going out with you."
"Did I ask you to go out with me?" Junhyung contemplated for a while and without looking back, with a smirk that was not visible in Hyunseung's gaze, he asked, "Do you want to go out with me?"
Hyunseung said tonelessly, "No. You're my boss. I'm your subordinate. I'm drawing a line here. And you cannot cross the line."
Junhyung turned around, took a step closer to Hyunseung, whispered seducingly into the elder's earshell, "So, this line of yours... Is it imaginary or I'm gonna have to give you a marker?"
Their faces were merely separated by an inch; they could feel each other's warm breath on their face.
Hyunseung couldn't not kiss him. He literally plunged to the younger; pushing Junhyung against the wall, hungry for those plump, thick of Junhyung's lips; ignoring the papers that he was holding scattered around the elevator's floor.
The elevator ding after reaching every new floor but didn't open, chiming with the moans and the low grunts of pleasure as Junhyung roamed his hands inside Hyunseung's shirt and played around Hyunseung's abdomen, his finger playfully circling around his navel.
Hyunseung escaped a moan as he felt the warm hands on his own cold skin. He give in to the intoxicating taste of the kiss, he ran his fingers through Junhyung's short strand of hair, his tongue licked every inch of Junhyung's cavern and met Junhyung's along the journey. His hands were kept busy as they traveled around the younger's sides.
After sixty seconds that seemed like forever, the elevator ding a bit louder, signaling the destination floor, Hyunseung was hit with realization. He pulled apart from the kiss and instictively let out a gasp for air, his face flushed deeply as the embarassment followed, he picked up his papers carelessly and stormed out of the elevator. Leaving Junhyung wiping the saliva in the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, chuckling.
Blame it on his incredibly teasing lips.
That was Hyunseung's lame excuse for the kiss in the elevator. Not wanting to admit that his lust took control of his sanity.
And here he goes again, stuck in his boss' office. Junhyung sitting on his desk while Hyunseung on the chair. The younger put his fingers on Hyunseung's chin, facing the face to his.
"Seriously, go out with me."
"No."
"But we had sex-"
"Once."
"And the kiss in the elevator?"
"We kissed in the elevator, once." Hyunseung made a stressed sound on the 'once'. "It's the chase isn't it?"
Junhyung raised an eyebrow, "What?"
"I've been wondering to myself, why-are-you-so-hell-bent-for-making-me-go-out-with-you?"
Before Junhyung managed to open his mouth, Hyunseung continued, "You know you're my boss. You know it's against the rules. You know I keep saying no. It's the chase. The thrill of the chase."
Junhyung tilted his head to the side, "Maybe. It's fun isn't it?"
Hyunseung scoffed, "See? This is a game to you. But not for me." He snatched his report from Junhyung's hand and stormed out of the room.
Junhyung was struck in awe until Hyunseung poked in his head again into the office and hissed, "And a god-damn forgotten coma is not an error report!"
Hyunseung slammed his report to his own desk and tried to pull his hair out and groaned when his report was wet with a few drops of water. He cursed the ceiling as he looked up to see no water was falling from the ceiling. He failed to realize that it was his own tears that were trickling down from his hazel eyes.
"You're crying." Junhyung said while his thumb wiped off the tears on Hyunseung's soft cheek.
Hyunseung instictively swat off the hand from his face. He looked away because he didn't want Junhyung to see him crying. It's just humiliating in so many ways.
"It's not the chase," the deep voice spoke.
Hyunseung turned around to Junhyung, who was staring at him dearingly.
"It's your smile." Junhyung crooked a small smile.
"It's your adorable frown." He stroked Hyunseung's hair with his fingers, "And your awfully soft hair."
"It's everything about you."
Hyunseung kept silent. But he didn't push the hand away this time.
"I'm going to ask you one more time, sincerely, Jang Hyunseung, will you go out with me?" Junhyung said, nearly a whisper in Hyunseung's ear.
After a minute of silence, Hyunseung spoke up, "No."
The refusal felt like a hard slap on Junhyung's face. His mouth dropped open; eyes wide in shock.
Hyunseung expressionless face then turned into a smile and he let out a giggle. "But you're off to a good start." He pecked the younger on the cheek, "And I do accept a date offer."
Hyunseung packed his things and grabbed his suitcase. He chuckled, "See ya tomorrow, boss."
Junhyung snapped out of his shock and grabbed the other by the waist, "Not so fast."
Hyunseung yelped at the sudden closeness, but didn't struggle as Junhyung crashed their lips together.
Junhyung whispered between the kisses, "Then a date at my place. Tonight."
Hyunseung nodded weakly with a smile, "Okay."
Unfortunately for the two, the rest of the office members were watching them with a popcorn in each hand.
Mir threw a small ruffled paper to Hyunseung's head, "Yah Jang Hyunseung, you owe me 10000 won!"
The two's eyes widened in horror, realizing the big audience.
G.O shouted, "No Seung! You owe me twenty!"
Hyunah sighed, "There goes another homosexual couple in this office. When am I going to get laid?!" Desperation was evident in her tone.
Kikwang pouted to Hyunseung, "You lied to me!"
While Hyunseung was still dumbfounded about the situation, Junhyung whispered to him with a smirk, "Let's get the hell out of here."
Junhyung grasped Hyunseung's arms, intertwined their fingers together and fled from the scene; erupting cheers from their office colleagues.

A/N: So... Must I write a sequel? Yes, too much characters in the story, I know.
