Dream a little dream

I dreamed I met a guy in some kind of classroom or learning environment. It wasn't JDM, but that type---a big bear of a man, dark hair going silver---he was about my age, maybe a tad older---tall enough to make me feel petite, very affectionate. Not afraid of PDAs---at one point, he embraced me and swing me around in the hallway or foyer. When the ( Read more... )

Ooh, the handsome fellah dream sounds wonderful. Those are the ones you don't want to wake up from.

I went back to bed this morning (sick with what's trying to turn into a sinus infection) and had the strangest dream about how my uptight, right-wing friends had moved to this marvelous, slightly shabby rambling house on the beach. This had to be a mistake because it totally didn't suit their personalities. :)

It was a fabulous dream. Mine are usually a lot more pressured and devoid of romance.

The sinus thing sounds unpleasant---and why does that kind of thing always have to kick in just in time for the weekend?!

This sinus thing made me miss a big baby gear consignment sale I was going to take my friend Raine to. Her middle son and his lady friend just discovered they're going to be surprise parents in six weeks. They have no money, so Insta-Grandma and I have been trawling Craigslist for sales.

Wow, that's gotta be a shock to the system! On the good side, you don't have 7.5 months of people asking snoopy questions. On the down side, prenatal care is important. Tough call. Hope the wee rug-rat is healthy and the family is happy!

It's going to be hard to tell how the baby is until he gets here. The mom is 40, was on birth control pills and had not a clue that she was pregnant, so he's been exposed to hormones and what-all. The ultrasound showed that he's a little small, but not too far behind where he ought to be.

They are all completely flipping out, poor things.

Perfectly understandable! My mom was 39 when I came along, but she didn't have the Pill to contend with---my dad had caught the mumps from my brother and everyone thought he was shooting blanks.
