Personal and fandom squee
I'm thinking happy thoughts, namely, that two weeks from today, I will be off and GK will be here. Paid vacation time is a Good Thing! (She'll have Thing One and Thing Two with her, which is less than squeeful, but oh well.) I'll need to hustle some more with the living room---I'd like to impress her, because it was a pit when she was here last spring.
Last night, SPN---total Bobbygasm! I got a charge out of him frying whatever it was, while on the phone as an alledged FBI guy, and the labeled phones---jiminy shit that was awesome! And saving the day---of course! And just as I was thinking, "Oh, it's the obligatory 'beer and bonding' scene", Dean goes, "Soda?!" One of these days, I may be able to get a decent screen cap of the Chevelle, poor old Frankenstein that it is. Clearly, I've been at my job too long---as Bobby was walking over to the boys in that scene, I found myself checking out his jeans, mumbling, "Medium stonewash, relaxed fit, straight leg, probably mid-rise...definitely not shrink-to-fit...."
The boys? Well, I'm not going to quibble about any ep that has either or both of them getting it on, unless it's something *really* inappropriate. My major WTF was, if the siren could read minds, then why did it bother to go through the whole charade with calling their boss to begin with? Or did that not go into effect until they'd tainted their victim? Wait, that can't be right, otherwise how would they know what the victim wanted most? Unless he did it to make it look good because he knew they had a contingency plan. I'm so confused!
It used to be that "I don't want to talk about it!" was Dean's line exclusively. Now they're both doing it. And the whole "We used to have each other's backs!"---and now they're at each other's throats---oh boys! I'm really concerned, since we're on the downhill slalom toward the season finale. I suspect (because that's what I'd do) is that in the finale, the final seal will break, and we're going to spend the summer wondering what happens next. (That would certainly provide a reason for Castiel to become a regular, as we've been promised.) If it *does* go down that way, even Winchesters United are gonna have a helluva time next season, no pun intended.
And finally, was it just me, or did anyone else look at that fire axe and have a MBV moment?!
