2005

Well Insomnia, does lead to one thing. Live Journal Updates. This has been a good year as I predicted. Though there were also many things that didn't go the way I had hoped or had planned, I did advance as a person. I learned a lot, a lot more than I'll write about in a live journal anyhow. Finally 21 which is like I expected it to be. Its not like a magical transformation that results in week long benders throughout the year. The main this is... if you want a weeklong bender you can...so at least one is necessary I suppose. But anyways, convenience is just great. You know, a bunch of people are coming over so I'll just drive down to Town and Country. Simple! Its like the reward one gets for having life get more complicated. Kind of a sign that says, "you're going to need this."

This was definately a year to remember though. I mean it started with a trip to Puerto Rico. A Third Championship for the Patriots. Another term on the Dean's List, getting closer to Graduation. A year at Six Flags that was highlighted by a relationship and the firing of our incompetent boss. Great times in the summer seeing Ozzfest, Three Doors Down, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, and Avril Lavigne in concert. Then to close off the summer I once again saw the Patriots opening game of the season. I have now been to all three banner unveilings which is amazing.

Fall was probably the toughest part of the year I'd say. Though it was probably my best year as a coach, it was my toughest team to deal with so far. Frustrating as ever! This team was probably in some ways more talented than last year's team which placed second in their conference. The problem with this team was their discipline, not on the football field, they were great on the field. But in the classroom they were all..... well interesting. Every day on my drive to practice I would wonder who would actually be at practice. That's why I loved last year's team, I never had that thought once, the nucleus of that team was there every day without a second thought. Then football aside, my semester was really just tedious. None of my classes were really that hard, it was simply going through the motions. It was all classes that are requirements and things I need to take but... not hard at all. I will actually be disapointed if I don't have straight A's. And would probably have to be screwed by a Professor to not have straight A's.... that or maybe absences will keep me off. But overall, this is probably my most useless semester at school... and thats saying a lot. The only fun was at the end of the year writing papers on Jim Thorpe and the Belgaraid. Then anyone reading this already knows about the other aspect of my fall that well wasn't exactly a positive though much was learned and a lot can be taken from it all.

And now we're back to winter and once again thinking about the next year. There will be many hopes going into 2006. Many wishes, a few resolutions that I've actually already begun... well they can't be considered resolutions at this point, but I will vow to continue them into 2006. So here we are though, the Patriots are once again preparing for a playoff run. I'll have enough credits to graduate in the Spring but won't be doing student teaching until the fall. My coaching job seems to my hold on where I am though I'm not sure that I really want to continue that path. I want to obviously continue the path of coaching though I'm not sure if I want to settle down in Agawam where there is much I have yet to really see and experience. A Year out in Boston may not be quite enough for me. But then again, why leave? Why give up on a nearly guarenteed job?

Things for next year:
Graduate from Westfield St.
The ever present Lose Weight resolution with new angles and inspirations
Become an even better coach in as many ways possible
Go to more Realms events
Make it through another year at Six Flags... need that money
Continue the work I've been achieving on my book the past month
Stick with the morals and values I've set for myself

Home
I can't say where it is
But I know I'm going

Home
That's where the hurt is

And I know it aches
And your heart it breaks
You can only take so much
Walk on

Leave it behind
You've got to leave it behind

All that you fashion
All that you make
All that you build
All that you break

All that you measure
All that you feel
All this you can leave behind

All that you reason
All that you care

All that you sense
All that you scheme
All you dress up
And all that you see

All you create
All that you wreck
All that you hate
