Ran a longer route Monday morning. Turns out the scary big hill was actually much easier than the punishing bastard hill i've been doing each time. It seems less steep, shorter and just easier to run up. Cool. Timed myself but not so as to see if I could go faster, but just to see how long the route took, which was 33 minutes. One thing i didn't mention in the last post was that when I do run i'm not going to bother with timing myself anymore. I suspect because I didn't have the wii (and hence had no form of scales) the only way i could 'measure' how I was doing was by timing myself to see if I improved. Off I go again. I took a ret yesterday because my ankles belatedly joined the Hurt Party. Went for a run yesterday morning and today. I'm going to try and run every morning this week and continue in that vein. Well so much for running every morning of my week off. I did Monday and Wednesday and that's it. For the first time on this route I slowed to a walk to get my breath back. I had a superb weekend with friends and Laura wherein we watched Kick Ass (which was kick ass), came back to mine and I made everyone risotto (many thanks to Rachael for emailing me a receipe for that).
