I am not claiming that my study is tidy. Or even clear. But there is carpet in the middle of the room. Enough carpet to warrant using a vacuum cleaner!

In other news, I have managed to unjam the shredder. The floor is now a mess.

More carpet is emerging in the study. I cleared out another box of stuff, a lot of it programme books and PRs from conventions I've attended over the last twenty five years. Now that I've retired, the time has come to start decluttering and tidying the house, so that when the time comes, we can sell it and move on. This is a major exercise, as we have lived in this house for over 16 years, and I have accumulated a lot of rubbish in that time. So I have made a very small start on the dump that is my study.
