OK. As of earlier today, the snow had pretty much gone in London. So I'm being optimistic, especially as D will be meeting our US guests at Gatwick tomorrow in his Landrover. Snow was forecast for the weekend, so I really did pack my snow boots. And I took fewer instruments to 2T0nic than I have taken to earlier UK filkcons. And I did hit blizzard conditions about 18 miles south of Grantham, which made driving hazardous. But the snow didn't settle, and I reached the Ramada Grantham in one piece ( Read more... )

I've restrung the accoustic guitar and the banjo, which I will definitely be using in my set at 2T0nic. That leaves the classical and the 12-string still to do.
