As you all know (or should) my favorite part of the Oscars is the dresses. They don't often give awards to movies I love (2004 being the big exception) but the red carpet is enough to make me giddy. Glitz! Glamor! Ruffles!

So, first the Oscars. Some people have criticized it, but I thought Ellen was very funny, I enjoyed the blessedly brief interpretive dances, and I like that they're letting the original artists perform the songs again (though that might just be Beyonce was singing them anyway).
