Yesterday Fairmont got snow rather than rain. Not a staggering amount of snow, but a fair amount that where it drifted became a quite substantial amount. When it had stopped snowing for a while, and I had finished supper and my treadmill time, I went out to deal with it.

I looked over what time off I'll likely have available this year and how I can distribute it. It appears that things will likely work out rather well. The limiting factor is probably financial rather than temporal.

In the area I live, one good independent restaurant closed, and a Wendy's opened closer. The local Shell stations closed, eventually to be reopened by different management. The small grocery store also closed, likely getting out while the the getting is good as there are plans for a "super" Wal-Mart.
