Treasure Hunt Thirteen! [Video/action for Goldenrod]
[Good morning Johto! Or well... it should have been. But for Yuffie here, it's about to be one of the worst mornings. She's up fairly early for once eager to get out since all that rain has finally let up, and yeah sure, it's still a little cloudy but hey, she can handle some clouds. There are some things, however, that she can't handle.
She's got the 'gear out facing her while she walks through Goldenrod on her way out to Route 35. She's only gotta gain a few more levels before Whitney's going down in the rematch of the century and all that darn rain has set her back.]
Uuuuugh! I'm so glad the rain has finally let uuuuup. Seriously, there's only so much being cooped inside a girl can take! Plus with all those Poekees out there...
But today is a training day! [She gives the camera a grin then looks briefly confused.]
Huh? What's that?
[The view turns and a Skorupi can be seen skittering out from behind a trash can in front of her. It looks up at her and and it's tail shoots forward and it lets out a cry.]
Huh? Huh!?
[Momentarily other bugs start crawling out of the woodwork all around her and pretty soon she's surrounded by a good variety of them.]
Wha... Oh no! Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no... Not cool. Okay Yuffie, stay calm.
Nice bugs. Heh heh. Um, please don't hurt me. Heh....
[It would seem the bugs don''t feel like listening as they begin to advance toward her, and not at all slowly.]
[There was a part of Yuffie that had a moment to be disappointed at the lack of dramatic effect, but it didn't last very long because a Spinarak was jumping at her and she was screaming and reaching for the balls on her belt. She'd been going for Sneezy, but this was a bit of an emergency here, and she wasn't paying all that much attention to which Poekee ball she was grabbing. So she sends out Creepey instead.
Instantly the Nincada is on it's guard, moving in to attack the offending Spinarak. Nobody touches Mamma while he's around, got that!
Yuffie feels something brush against her leg and with a screech drops the Poekee Gear to reveal the culprit, a Ledyba preparing to attack her. She fumbles for another poekee, but Creepey is on top of this swiping furiously at it. He sees a Paras sneaking up behind Mamma and rushes to stop that thing too.
After fighting off a couple more evil, evil bugs Creepey starts glowing. This is his time finally.]
Oh god, Creepey! What's going on, you're supposed to be saving me here, don't just start glowing!
[When the glow dissipates, however, Creepey is no longer a Nincada, but he's evolved into a Ninjask, which the gear happily chirps in it's monotone from the ground. Yuffie sinks down beside it.]
And I was just getting used to you tooooo!
[But wait! There's more! Creepey isn't done yet. He's wiggling back and forth, and it becomes apparent after a moment that something is coming off of him. It's his exoskeleton actually, he's molting, and in a moment he's dragged himself out of the dead skin. But we're not done yet folks! This isn't just any dead skin, which is perfectly intact by the way. But a second later it begins to move, and suddenly takes on a from of it's own.]
Oh. My. God. What is that!? Did you shed a bug!? Why are there so many buuu-uuugs!?
[Speaking of bugs, this isn't some TV show where the bad guys wait around while the good guys transform and get power ups and then attack. No the enraged bug horde has been advancing the entire time and Yuffie notices when she feels something climb over her fingertips, and yells and shakes her hand sending a Skorupi flying.
Now that Creepey is done evolving, and shedding more creepy things, he's back in action. The Shedinja (as the gear informed them) follows suit. This human had to be protected it seemed.
Alas, it looks like the story ends here though as Paras steps over the gear and shuts it off.]
