So I was watching the premier of the Avatar Extras for Avatar: The Last Airbender season 3, and I couldn't help but notice something.
Now I have to admit that my ATLA OTP is, and always will be, Zutara. But I'm pretty open to most pairings (oddly enough, I happen to also love Maiko). But one pairing that I just do not like is Kataang. And while I don't mind that people do like it, something about it has always bugged me. I have my reasons for disliking it, and the Avatar Extras today just added another one.
During the Avatar Extras of the first episode of season 3, "The Awakening", there was a scene where Katara was taking care of Aang, and a pop-up appeared that talked about the Florence Nightingale effect, and kind of mentioned how it could've been happening in that scene.
.....If there was any way of showing me how Kataang works, that wasn't it.
I mean, okay, I get that sometimes things like that could work out. And yeah, Katara and Aang were friends before that. But sorry, that just doesn't work for me.
