Asking for a bit of help!
Does anyone have any advice to give, to someone who's looking to start up with commissions? Or where I can go to see what other people are doing, how much they're charging for things, and what services they use to make their own buttons, prints, etc?
I'm poking around a bit on etsy and I've seen a couple of artists web sites but nothing really solid at the moment. $15-$25 for a print seems really low but that's apparently the going rate for etsy from what I've seen so far. I'm thinking I'll likely start off with selling general prints of whatever artwork I feel like doing and then opening myself up to commissions at a later date. I'd probably do stuff from comic book characters, to anime characters, to Warcraft... but I'm probably going to try to do some original steampunk stuff too, since that's really picking up as of late.
Heck, I'd even appreciate links to artist's web sites for those that commission. Sites like this one are really helpful in getting a better idea of what I could/should do, so if any of you know of something like that, please send links my way. XD
