nothing much
things are slowing down at work-today is the big meeting for phd admissions with aid. i'm able to kinda get my desk clean.
thanks the the urthling being sick last week, i'm feeling under the weather-got the cough and sneezes and runny nose. she was so cute the other day she said "mama nose?" and pointed to the tissue box this morning thebcman groaned and i asked him if he stayed up too late last night-he said no-he's getting the cold....
with the urthling being sick and teething i noticed the other day my aureoles were red flecked from her teeth. i knew she's been chewing on me (despite my attempts to keep her from doing so), but i had no idea she was leaving marks! last night she saw a teether in the fridge and asked for it and had a good time bitting on it :-) this morning she kept hugging me and loving on my that it made it hard to leave her at phyllis'.
poor watson is not doing too well. last night his hips were really hurting him. had to carry him up and down the stairs. we haven't been giving him the arthritis meds because he had been doing okay. he did well in ark city with the other dogs so this seems rather sudden. have to remind myself that he is 14 yrs old. i'm not waiting a year between dogs this time like thebcman wanted to do between sherlock and getting watson. i don't think the urthling would be too happy without a dog around. tho next dog i will try to make more of an outside dog.
i do hope we get the rain predicted for later this week. we need it. i didn't realize it but my yellow crocus have bloomed! the urthling wanted to play outside after we got home two days ago and that is when i noticed them. yeah spring!!!! the bird song also makes it seem much more spring like. been getting seed catalogs. :-) come on yellow flowers! bring back the sun!!!
i've still been cogitating on personal practice stuff-still trying to modify my morning prayers to something that is meaningful to me, adjust my driving prayers-i think i've got a good start for the road kills, still nothing for the live animals i see. it would be nice if i could get a chance to go thru the Carmina Gadelica and see what is there that i might use. i'm please that most morning i'm able to sit at my altar and do my prayers. i've fallen back into the practice with ease.
