So today is a makeup holiday for last Saturday, which was a middle schooler visit day, only I took it off to go to Seya Nishi's school festival and see the drama club perform, so I'm here today and no one else is. Thank god I brought stuff to do. (Anyone on ICQ- drop me a line. PLEASE.)
The weather has gotten extreeeemely pleasant over the last two weeks or so, with the skies so wide-open and blue that they'd bear comparison to someone's eyes, or maybe the other way around. I can tell it's autumn because it's become necessary to heat my bentou again- which is a problem, because I need a new bentou and microwaving the old one puts yet more cracks in the lid. Oh well. I've rediscovered one of my favorite recipes, what they call butaniku no miso-itame in Japanese, only it's a Chinese recipe with black bean sauce and everything, and instead of pig I use chicken... It's meccha easy to make, though, if you have the ingredients around. That and winter melon soup and 'Five-things rice' and I'm set for the winter.
Got some requests for translations (two requests for Pillows songs on the same day?) so I'm doing those, plus the few Japanese songs that have reached 'anthem' status with me over the past six months. I need to buy more music. >_
