Hello people
What's up? I haven't seen you all in a really long time.. okay, I saw some of you this past week in person, but not here on LJ!! So what's new with me? I can safely say the coolest thing that has happened to me in recent weeks is that I am being promoted at work to a Game Designer. No longer am I bound by the shackles of QA, no matter how fun those shackles actually were. I'm living the dream of anyone who's picked up a controller or used a mouse and keyboard and said, "Wow, wouldn't it be cool to make games?" And not like those cheesy commercials you see on G4 either. It's going to be really cool, because I will no doubt have content int he game when it launches, or soon after. I'll get a design credit, and a QA credit. It's going to be pretty cool. The only downside is that I do not get a raise, and it's still technically a temporary postion.. so who knows. But, I will be in an infinitely better position now to move onto sometihn bigger and better after this. I'm a game designer, and I will have credentials! Go me!
What else? Not much yet, I guess. My college loans have started coming in, which is really sucky... blah. That's about it. sorry this is such a boring post!
