I initially thought this rock was sun-bleached, but upon closer inspection found that the white color was "brought" by birds giving their wings a break! Despite a lot of desolation and some urban decay thanks to man, there was still a promising little cluster of succulent. It's hard not to feel blessed when a hummingbird choses to dart mere feet away from you to drink precious nectar out of pots containing freshly blooming flowers.
