Where is your nearest library? How long does it take you to get there?
It takes me about ten minutes by car.
How often do you use it?
At least once a week.
How old were you when you started visiting libraries?
Dunno. Very young? I've always gone to libraries as far back as I can remember.
What's the first book you remember borrowing from the library?
Haven't a clue.
What's the last book(s) you borrowed from your library?
Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews, Sea Glass by Maria V. Snyder, The Demon's Lexicon by Sarah Rees Brennan, and The Sewing Circle: Hollywood's Greatest Secret--Female Stars Who Loved Other Women by Axel Madsen.
I don't know if I'm going to read them all. I grabbed a bunch since I just finished my last book and was craving something to read. Specifically something old school fantasy related.
Where's your favourite library? What's special about it?
The public library by my house. It's awesome! They just made 'five star' library this past summer and have so many great resources.
What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen in a library?
Um... nothing? I can't think of anything weird. I've seen instrumental bands playing a show there, but I don't know if that counts as weird.
Do you like your librarians? Do you even know them?
I don't know them personally, but I recognize them all. Most of them are older women and they're very nice.
What's the most helpful thing you've found (out)in a library?
...Research? I've used the library for school projects. I'm sure that was important. And a love of reading, I guess I found that in a library.
Do you borrow before you buy, instead of buying, or randomly alongside purchased books?
I borrow instead of buying. Much cheaper and my library has a great selection.
