I've done it

My current PC, named AWESOME-O, is probably not long for this world. It's had a good run considering it's five years old and it wasn't that great to begin with. But now it's slow and overloaded, and if I ever got a copy of Photoshop and tried to open it, I think it would draw a picture of a middle finger on the screen and then shut itself down forever. So after threatening to do it for at least as long as I've known I would need to someday replace this computer, I found a good deal on a refurbished MacBook Pro and finally bought one.

All you Windows lovers can line up and make your snide comments now. It's OK. Get it out of your system. My parents had Macs all the way through my childhood. They only gave the last one up because it was bought pre-Internet, it was very hard to retrofit it for online use, and some of the software I needed for college was Windows-only. If Apples were as flexible with all that 10 years ago as they are now, I never would have stopped using one.

P.S. I name all my computers after robots. The one I got as a graduation gift was named HAL. (That one only made it 2 1/2 years before the hard drive went to hell, and combined with the cracked screen it was time to cut bait.) This one is AWESOME-O. The used laptop I bought from work is named WALL-E, and there's a 100% chance I'm naming the MacBook EVE.
