Carrousel
In the film version of Logan's Run, everyone is required to report to Carrousel when their lifeclock starts flashing red, right before their 30th birthday. (Carrousel is basically a death machine.) On Lastday, they enter the Carrousel in the hope of Renewal. If they've been good and followed the rules, whatever they are, they may be reincarnated. But of course, no one has done this.
Part of the movie was filmed at Hulen Mall in Fort Worth. I always thought it would be a funny bit to go there on my 30th birthday and ride their carousel and start chanting "Renew! Renew! Renew!" Then I would jump off all excited when the ride ended and I hadn't been vaporized. But they don't have one! My Lifeclock is about to turn black! What the hell do I do now??
