Hallo-weenies!

Ok so I haven't posted any of my Halloween stuf and I am in huge trouble with certain relatives for forgeting to take pictures!

On Wednasday I went to Thomas's first preschool party. It was so adorable. they palyed with music sticks and sang songs. Thomas was dressed as Pajama Sam who is a computer game character no one recognizes. this is fine because Thomas made the costume himself and being three he wasn't likely to be recognized by Pajama Sam's biggest fan. He wore a red bandana around his neck like a cape and his favorite Bob the Builder workman's goggles. I thought he looked sweet. It brought home to me how old he is and and how well he can interact with kids in a responsible calss setting. The highlight of the day for me was when the kids stood in a cirle holding hands to sing a song and Thomas decided they really wanted to call him out for a solo performance. He did his best Flash Dance impression with a little Richard Simmoons thrown in for taste. It was quite a show and greatly applauded by the class.

On Thursday I went to Sydney's class party. She was the cutest Cow Girl ever to strut her stuff. I think it was the aluminum foil sheriffs badge that really made the costume. Same room same teacher same party different kids. They didn't play music though they sat on the table and told the story of five little pumpkins sitting on the wall and since we had to leavbe ealyl Sydney was assigned the apparently much coveted role of first pumpkin. She was very dramatic, used gobs of facial expressions and conveyed true fear throughout her one line preformance. There was standing ovation, (mine) and cries of oncour (mostly by the kids themselves who wanted to do it again!)

On Friday I was Room Mom for ViVi's party. We got interupted by a school wide pledge to stick together against drugs where every one went into the hallway to hold hands and chant. It was sweet and spooky all at the same time. The poem went over well and the masks were a big hit. The teacher left the room and came back with several other teacher who asked questions about how I came up with them and where I bought the supplies. Check off one Life Goal, Become Sucessful/Popular Room Mother. Check! The pumpkin muffins were very popular until Vivi and I spilled the beans that at home we call the vegetable muffins so Daddy will be proud of us for eating veggies. Suddenly being veggies they weren't so tasty. Go figure.

On Sunday we grabbed our niece Tracy and went trick or treating. Thomas decided he didn't want to be Pajama Sam and I was just about to let him trick or treat in street clothes this yer when I remebered the girls had some Super Man pajamas when they were little and soon laid my hands on them. He was adorable! he wooshed all over McDonalds. And using his Dinosaur voice (I don't know why) he would say "Super Man needs more Chicken Nuggets!" and "Superman made big mess, and spilled milk!" Sydney and ViVi also made last minute costume changes. ViVi decided she could maike her own carebear costume with her grey sweat pants and matching sweatshirt. Sydney said she wanted to be a carebear too and went up stairs but soon yelled down that she didn't have a sweat suit. ViVi went up and they both came down dressed in solid color outfits but Sydney's had a twist. She had put on her velor hot pink 70's style pants suit with the huge ruffles on the arms and legs. They both asked me to cut out cirlces of paper for them "to color their tummys on." I also made little hearts for thier bottoms. they were embarassd by that but I convinced them it would make them more authentic. Sydney foud panda bear ears in the dress up clothes and decided with her clothes she was Boggie Bear and she drew a checkered dance floor with a disco ball hanging from the top! ViVi was upset Sydney got the only bear ears but soon found bunny ears and proclaimed herself a carebear cousin. She drew a question mark, a magnifine glass, and get aload of this, the pyramid with the eye from the back of the dollar bill (!) and named herself Mystery Bunny, to help you find the answers to your problems and solve the mystery!

We ended up eating at McDonalds to wait out the rain and when it still hadn't stopped we went to a local church festival. It was crowded and loud but tons of fun. Then we trick or treated maybe five houses to the next church and stayed for thier festival. Smaller and quieter but with more candy! Then we trick or treated home. The kids wowed a few with thier jokes, which are always funnier when they come out of cuties. But I thkink we had the most fun handing out candy at the door. They were fighting over who could give out the oreo's and who gave out the hershy's bars, although I got stuck untangling all the pumpkin necklaces myself. It was great fun and a good holiday.

I have almost got Vang convinced to help me put up the Christmas tree this weekend . . . ;)
