Happy birthday KiKi!

I had the best day today!! The kids and I had a very late dinner with KiKi and a a dozen of her friends. They were the nicest people and so sweet to the kids and everything. Thomas totally bonded with this Dj named John who for some reason couldn't talk about anything but Cancoon (sp). But they played with his Chevy's playdough and crayons for almost the whole dinner and he kept talking to Thomas like he was twelve and Thomas kept responding like he hadn't said anything at all. It went like this "So, Thomas, what are you drawing there? It looks like something I saw once in Mexico." To which Thomas would reply "Um, Excuse me, excuse me boy? Um do you see the bird? Do you see the letter O? Do you see ViVi?" It was so cute! And ViV had a tiny little crush on the guy she was sitting next to. His name was Joe and he was from Computer Services which Kiki used to work at. I don't blame her he had a six year olds baby face. And he was so polite and asked her all about herself, her all time favorite topic. I noticed Sydney looked a little glum and when she finally told me what was wrong I had to work hard to keep a straight face. Apparently she was a bit sad that everyone had a "special KiKi friend" but her. So then Joe asked her why she was so quiet. I told him she is our little performer and I had never seen her so quiet. He asked how she preforms and I told him all about how she makes up and sings songs while dancing but she would have none of that. So then I mentioned that she also does impressions. She GROANED. Come on she's four! So he asks her directly what kind of impressions and she launches into all her favorite Nemo quotes and it turms out he and his nephews are trying to memorize that movie and she was dead on. It was so sweet. Well, I think KiKi had the same feeling as KiKi cause she just had to start a food fight when no one was talking enough to her! Those little dough balls became a greater source of entertainment than they had invisioned. We left such amess behind I was afraid we would get kicked out. We should have left no later than 8:30 cause the kids would only be an hour late for bed and not too tired for school tomorrow but the waitress screwed up the receipts and we didn't get the kids to bed until almost 10pm! Of course vang hadn't been able to come since he had to work and I had to miss my late night nap before work but it wa sworth it. I think it was a great birthday and I hope she enjoyed it as much as we did.
