Best Female Performance:
Lily Loveless
Kaya Scodelario
Megan Prescott
Kathryn Prescott
Megan rocked the boat home this episode, man. What a waste that she had such a crap underdeveloped character in series 3, beacuse man does she ever take the screen and not let go. Completely taken in the whole time, everything from her confusion to frustration to hopelessness and helplessness to tiny glimmers of a simpler Katie with Effy and Thomas...oy. Oy the Prescotts are clearly going to be the death of me.
Best Male Performance:
Merve Lukeba
John Bishop
I'm telling you: The Fitch parents blow my mind. Bishop in particular is just plain incredible. Love his helplessness, the So-That's-Where-Emily-Gets-It-From devotion, the complete and utter sadness that you can read in his eyes. If I lived in skins and had to marry one of the males, it'd without a doubt be him.
Best Smexy Moment:
Katie Getting Dressed for Work
Katie Getting Dressed for Party
'I'm Katie Fucking Fitch, who the FUCK are you?'
Katie Strutting Home after Party
Naomily Angry Kiss
Drunk!Emily/FakeBlonde Kiss
Katie/Thomas
Clearly this episode was making up for the lack of smexiness in Emily's. Katie getting dressed? God I feel like a perve when they show these bits but sue me, I have a fascination with the Precotts' backs. Smexy meter yes yes yes. hot hot hot.
I realize it's not an actual physical moment but Katie wailing on Platinum Blonde #6 followed by delivering possibly the most epic KatieFitch line ever was super, super, super hot. Katie strutting home after the party, also super hot. You may strut towards or away from me anytime.
The Naomily angry kiss? Admittedly not hot. Was just..sad. Not in a pathetic way, just a sad way that their relationship has deteriorated so much, compared to their first couple of kisses at the lake, that kitchen kiss was just heartbreaking. Not so smexy.
Same for the kiss with the random FakeBlonde at the barbecue. Emily Fitch you are so not hot right now, you're just breaking my heart.
Katie/Thomas scene was sweet (and for some reason I actually fell in love with Katie Fitch somewhere along the way and realized we could be a good couple, too. oh dear. Emily will be so upset.) Seeing as this is my blog anyway, I'm going to award this one to the first four, all equally DAMNSMEXY in their own ways.
Best New Character:
Candace, 'Danny's new gf, and the bride's BFFE'
RandomDrunkBlonde that Emily might want to fuck. Maybe she does. So what?
Hotdamn, son. Katie Fitch carries her own episode. These new characters were good for the scenes they were in and what they needed to show of the Fitches, but ultimately nothing special.
Most Unnecessary Scene:
All Freddie/Effy Scenes
They're happy together. WE GET IT. How bout showing Naomily some uninterrupted love?
Best Entrance:
Emily
Emily comes in like a whirlwind in this episode. Whereas Katie enters by...getting dressed and showing off her assets, I've got to give this to Emily. I'm pretty sure her hair's never looked so red, and I'm beyond certain Emily has never before been so pissed, so sick of taking all this bullshit, so sick of being the good girl. Oy, Emily Fitch. For being a Fitch Bitch right at your entrance, you must deserve this one.
Best Line:
"You can pretty much fuck off now." -Katie to Sam
"I'm Katie fucking Fitch, who the fuck are you?" -Katie to Candance
'Uh. Cancer?" -Katie to Effy
'Oh, that was careless.' -Naomi to Katie
'Em' -Naomi to Emily
Let's do those two first Katie lines. Um. Epicness in a flipping bottle. What's so great about Katie this episode and Georgia Lester is that they've acknowledged Katie doesn't need love, doesn't need a boyfriend to be happy. I think she even mentioned it the other time. She doesn't need the way other epople do. She's just independent like that, she stands on her own. I mean it's sad and a bit lonely and she wants to know what love feels like from Effy. But she doesn't...need. It's wonderful, just makes me love her more :)
Her line to Effy? Yes. Setting Katie apart, here, my friends. Something that really differenciates her from the rest of the group. Even in Effy's S3 episode when she's not interested in doing shrooms. Granted she brought the pot for the brownies to Panda's party but hey, it was all in good fun. Just the way she delivers that line, like she disapproves so much of everything around her, you can see how intelligent she is, how very alike she is to Naomi, and once again how different she is from 'Everything-Once' Emily. Plus it's such a typical chill Effy line (Scared of...?) that's just shot down by Katie. (This is my episode. I get the awesome lines, bitch)
Naomi's line to Katie. Oh. Oh these two. Gotta love them. I can see them having just the best in-law relationship.
And her line to Emily? Oh. Oh oh oh. Oh no Emily
