dangermousie just posted an entry about Quietly Falling In Love With You (aka Knock Knock Loving You, which is a stupid name, and I won't call it that, damn it!).
Regardless of the context of the post (which is an interesting look at dramas, and fandom reaction to them), some of the comments made me sad; about how twdramas suck/are stupid, etc.
I must say, that hurts my heart. I haven't watched this drama yet, but it seems like it's in the minority of Taiwanese idol dramas with the weird/dark/odd factor. Twdramas are almost always end happily (I can only think of four, possibly five, that don't. And that's out of nearly 175 that I have a record of), and are generally filled with an equal portion of drama and good humor.
Twdramas are amazing, and it's sad that people don't give them a chance for various reasons (mostly because of production quality).
And really, I've actually seen far more messed up jdramas and kdramas than I have twdramas.
*sigh* Poor Taiwan. I still love you.
