I love LOVE love Dal Ja's Spring. Seriously. Love it beyond words.
But, for all it's awesomeness, it's no My Queen. I do not lie when I say My Queen is currently my third favorite drama of all time (only just after Love Contract and Coffee Prince, both of which I effuse praise on obsessively).
Wu Shuang, still rocking.
After beating up the dudes who tried to rape Jia Jia, Lucas (it's easier to type his english name, but I normally call him by his Mandarin name; Lú Kǎ Sī. It sounds cuter) wails on their asses, and get arrested. Where not only Wu Shuang shows up, but also HIS DAD (his disappointed-in-him dad). Dun Dun Dun.
I've probably mentioned this before, but JJ looks a ton like Rain to me for some reason.
Ohhhh. That's gotta hurt. Lucas called called Wu Shuang "Da Jie", aka big sister. Better than "Ah Yi" I suppose (I totally almost wrote ahjumma. Been watching WAY too many kdramas recently. I'm starting to add "sshi" to the ends of names...).
It would be easier if I hated Yun Hao. I don't. I hate how Wu Shuang acts around him, but I don't hate him. I feel bad for him. He's just trying to make things up to Wu Shuang. But it's not going to work, and he knows that.
I mean, how can I hate someone who BUYS WU SHUANG A FREAKING HOUSE. Since Wu Shaung = goddess, anyone who treats her well is a-okay in my book.
I was all like "whhha? Vironica?!". I had forgotten that Wu Shuang's english name is Veronica. I think they've referred to her as that once. Weird that Yun Hao would call her that, he always calls her Xiao Shuang.
Meanwhile, Lucas drinks his sorrows away with JJ, while talking about taking a working vacation up on a mountain. Minutes after we heard Yun Hao tell Wu Shuang that he wants to take her on a vacation. Hmmm, foreshadow much?
Wu Shuang accepts Yun Hao's marriage proposal. So I do NOT like how much Wu Shuang has changed because of Yun Hao. She's near unrecognizable. Gone is kickass Wu Shuang. Instead she talks about how Yun Hao is her life now, and he's all she's ever wanted. God girl, get a grip on yourself. She is NOT good with him, he dulls her, makes her soft. Like a freaking 1950's housewife. I know she's trying to rationalize, that she knows she's in love with Lucas, but doesn't want to admit. She's overcompensating, and it's heartbreaking, because Shan Wu Shuang should never ever change. She was perfect as she was.
So Lucas went up the mountain to get away from Wu Shuang and his broken heart. Course she and Yun Hao show up at the same place. Poor Lucas can't catch a break. But it gets worse.
Of course it gets worse. Someone mentions how Wu Shuang is Yun Hao's fiance. Lucas is like "Fiance?!". Poor poor thing.
Gratuitous Cheryl Yang.
Lucas is cleaning the men's hot spring, and accidentally falls into the woman's side (where, of course, Wu Shuang is). They proceed to angst, argue, and meaningfully stare.
MEANINGFUL STARING
"How can we go on parallel paths? Tell me, how could this be?" *sigh* Oh Lucas.
Seriously, this drama has the most meaningful stares I've ever seen in a drama. God, I LOVE the way he looks at her. The acting in this drama is top notch. Ethan has proven to me that he's a fabulous actor. And Cheryl... oh Cheryl, she's amazing. I've only seen her in one other thing, but she impressed me in that too.
I honestly wonder when Wu Shuang is going to smarten up. She loves him, he loves her. Easy.
