An ending I have been expecting has arrived -- my cat was euthanized this morning. He stopped eating over the weekend. Mom couldn't even entice him with tuna, his favorite food. At twenty-odd years old, he had just gone as far as he could. I'm going to miss the little beggar.

I suppose I should mention that Grim is doing okay. He's trying to use is front leg despite the engineering marvel stabilizing his shoulder. The vet isn't sure if he'll get full motion back or not, but when you're a 14-year-old cat something is better than nothing.

The surgeon was able to pin Grim's shoulder back together and he's eating, which is always a good sign. Now he has to tolerate 4 days of IV antibiotics and 10 weeks indoors with splint on.
