Birds spotted at the feeders and in the yard today: Northern Flicker, Downy (I think) Woodpecker, Purple Finches, Goldfinches, Bluebirds, Robins, Juncos, Sparrow (not sure of the species), and Starlings (sigh). I've decided to have a yard sale this coming weekend. Going though my stuff is ...fun... and making a pile in the corner of the RoR (Room of Requirement) for Monday. I have too. much. stuff. so I hope people show up and buy it from me. A fair number of things in the pile are lightly used and are in original packaging, so I hope they sell well ( Read more... )

Mom and Dad are here. We're putting more insulation in the attic today. M&D have already replaced most of my blinds, fixed the closet doors, and mom's currently scraping paint off the Room of Requirement (TM) windows. The Good? I went to see Rio tonight. VERY VERY cute! Any bird lover/parrot owner/parrot enthusiast should see this one! Just ignore the scene with the hot chocolate.
