Today is my last day of vacation. It's been 16 lovely days and I got a lot done. I'm a little happy about going back to work. I haven't seen or spoken to anyone from work the whole time I've been off. I know there were changes being made, so it will be interesting to see just how it all came down. Hopefully I'm still on the same shift. Haha.
I went to the hospital yesterday to visit with my son while he waited for them to do the bone marrow test. They think he has lymphoma, just need to find out now whether it's non-Hodgkins or Hodgkins type. Some good news is that the lymph node growths have remained steady in size. They are about the same size as when discovered which means if it is cancer, it is a slow growing one and that's a good thing. The doctor's and nurses were all great and supportive and making sure we are comfortable with what is happening and answering any and all questions. Dennis looks good. They did a biopsy on his neck and lots of bloodwork and then that bone-marrow test. He is supposed to get the results on Friday. My mom was telling me that one of my cousins has lymphoma (I can't remember which type) and he was 21 when it was diagnosed and 60 years old now, so that was good to hear.
I have a lot I want to do today, so I guess I better go get busy. I have birds to feed and laundry to do and want to put up that last piece of drywall and tape some seams. If I can get that done, then I can finish painting the bathroom and then, if I finish painting the hall, I can mix the paint for my bedroom and paint my bedroom. It all hinges on that one piece of drywall. haha.
