3 months later...

Well, we sold mum's house. I quit work. Doing a Cert IV in Training & Assessment (loving it) and am trying to tidy up my life. Tax returns (not admitting to how many) are next on the list...

Have had offers of work, commissions etc. Am able to get by (barely) on the little bit of interest that trickles in from investing my share of the house proceeds (thanks to mum, ING & the ever wonderful N).

Seeing as how I left HOJ and went to class the next day, then left for Rowany Festival the day after, returning 6 days later, I've only just started to clear the immediate debris that needed sorting. Finally starting to catch up with people eg my oldest friend (Frenz cafe in West Lindfield is a winner). Traipsed around town with LAJ doing High Tea and tapas at a brilliant Spanish wine bar we found in King St (SubSolo).

Medical issues getting sorted. 7 months of waiting for the opthalmologist and it turns out I have early onset cataracts. Not too big a deal really as they can be operated on in a few years when they get bad enough but they're a little concerned that I've got the beginnings now. My teeth and jaw are also shot to pieces (years of grinding that stopped 7 years ago but have reaped some not so nice results). Still, it's good to have the time to get on top of these things that I'd let slide.

Boxes are being unpacked. My own and mum's. Every week, after a day of class and before I head into Stowe's gathering, I'm hitting the storage unit and sorting through at least 1 box. It's a BIG storage unit so it'll take awhile but like is being put with like, decisions on what to keep and what to toss are being made and it's enervating.

My dad has been giving stuff away for years and I like his philosophy. So many of us are natural bowerbirds but I've decided that less is best and am culling wherever/whenever possible. Making space for good things to happen :) The other saying I was reminded of tonight when talking to Elden over in FB, is that "There are 2 ways to make more money... earn more or need less". I prefer the sanity of the second option :)

Life's path keep unfolding - never a dull moment round here...

Am breathing more deeply... goodnight all x

work, decluttering, friends, life
